Sigh,
To clarify, Demon Armor provides 30% extra healing from healing spells and effects, and it is a fixed amount that is not modified by mastery. Perhaps you thought it healed through damage? Regardless of the amount of mastery you have, drain life will only heal for 2% (2.6% with talented demon armor) of your maximum health
pull
pool. Haste will give you faster returns, demon armor doesn't provide any boosts to spells/items that don't heal.
Edit: to expand on my example and grammar

Try it with UA, you'll see different results.
Edit: That would explain the "almost" part :D
Edit 2:
Siphon Life is % based, same amount as Drain Life. 2%. Assuming you have a 120k Health pool, 2% is 2400. 2400 * 1.3% = 3120 healed. Basically right on the money. As previously stated, you will not get increased health regen from mastery or demon armor (in and of itself)
but
, this is why.

OH god I give up...
You guys are useless.
*wave*
Oh, and btw:
Thus far all I can mostly get to this question is some fair whether insult with nothing concrete to the simple question
May I point out that YOU are the one throwing the insults here, not us?
Not hard stuff really, so mastery does play into it as stated earlier potent afflictions. More mastery more damage on corruption more incomming health. But by how much and is Haste superior?
mastery does NOT increase healing received. Read Siphon Life again, you have a chance to get 2% of your hp on a corruption tick. Increasing its damage doesn't increase the percentage of hp you receive. However, having faster ticks (and on some haste levels, more ticks) means more chance of Siphon Life proccing, thus more survivability.
Hey, and I didn't reach 1900 in arena! God, I must be such a pvp noob ...

So hit is not important. Gotcha. So you are telling me hit is not a priority.
He never said it's not. Just that Int is better.
If you want accurate stat weights for your toon, Simcraft it. Simple as that. But I'd bet it too says Int is better than Hit.

And no it wasnt me that started swinging insults first scroll up.
Orly?
Starting from asakawa's "no"-post, the first real insult I see is this:
I will leave the rest for you to figure out cuz you are so pro. It's no wonder not many come to these forums, ya guys just seem to want to fight and put people down. Even when the information is sound.
Are all of you this dysfunctional and unstable around here?
But w/e, I'm not getting mingled anymore.

Not to argue with a patron, but cmon if dottery has been playing for 5-6 years as he implies, and thinks the word "Intelligence" is used over "Intellect" something's wrong there.
Still not a good reason to call them out as a troll. It's much better to just say they're flat out wrong or something like that.

if you want to see some accurate info on stat weights
this link
will give stat weights for various specs and gear points. you'll notice int is significantly stronger in every row.
Are these 4.0.6 numbers? I can't tell, sorry. I guess I'm holding out hope that Mastery is a little better stat for Demo PvE with the increased %'s towards Mastery. Also, I assume that when they rate Haste > Crit or Mastery, that it's based on if you're at a certain Haste threshold, correct? We don't merely keep stacking Haste once we hit a certain Haste threshold (to get the extra tick). We'll want to move over to another stat if we find ourselves too far away from the next Tier of Haste.

Those are 4.0.3 numbers at various tiers of BiS gear. I know that with 4.0.6 simcraft shows Demonology at the top of the DPS Ranking. So when you see that change you'll know the numbers are for the upcoming patch.
Edit: Did some digging on EJ, looks like they already have projected some numbers for 4.0.6.
Clicky
Mind you that those particular numbers are for
BiS 359 gear
(they haven't updated gear profiles to match the new stat weights). Your individual results will vary, which is what you should go by once they release the new simcraft download.
I'm liking the mastery value for demo though.. I have a lot of reforging to do :D

Oh man, thanks guys. I really appreciate it. I'm hopeful that Mastery is more viable, since Meta and the Pet are so closely dependent on it.

One other annoying question. Since Int > Hit, at what point do you determine x% is sufficient To-Hit? I'm guessing if you are at, say, 16.57% that you'll not sweat it. However, is it ok to be at 15%, 14%?
We had a new Affliction Lock in our raid the other night that had 7.5% To-Hit.
You read that right. 7.5%
He ended up with 22k DPS on Halfus, followed by Demo (me) at 23.9k and the Destro at 28k. The Destro and myself have about 7 or 8 Epic items and the new Lock only had 3. So it appears that the 7.5% of To-Hit that he had, in no way dampened his DPS.
Thoughts?

the result of the stat weights is that you gem and enchant for maximum int and reforge and gear for hit.
you take int wherever you can. once you've exhausted your options for increasing int, hit is the next most important.

To-Hit.
... wut?
I saw someone saying this on the druid forums as well. Are you that same guy? Your post history doesn't show that.

Anyone knows or can make an educated guess if Locks will get a free talent reset coming patch?
Post by
tugipus
My guess would be yes as they are shifting talents around within the destro talent tree.
That would not be some thing i'd worry about given the other changes (and the amount of gold everyone has these days)
