_____________________________
The
Shattered Sun Offensive
storyline is unique in WoW as far as gameplay is concerned, as most quests are added or removed based on the completion of server-wide objectives. These objectives typically flow in the form of "phases," with a total of four main phase objectives (focused around the reclamation of major locations on the Isle) and four creation-oriented objectives (focused around collecting resources in order to create new, beneficial additions to the Isle). As servers complete objectives, new NPCs and quests will become available progressively leading towards full reclamation of the Isle. All quests are available at neutral reputation with the Shattered Sun Offensive, and while most quests take place solely on the Isle, a few involve activities elsewhere in Outland.
All quests marked with a star (*) are
temporary
daily quests. These quests will only be active during their respective phases and prior to certain conditions being met. Once the intended objective percentage reaches 100% have been completed, they will be replaced with
permanent
equivalents - identical to their preceedings, but available forever! A summary of all permanent daily quests that will be available once the Isle is completely reclaimed can be found at the bottom of this guide.
Phase 1
Phase 1 has players recover the
Sun's Reach Sanctum
, the first of three locations that must be reclaimed.
There are two daily quests that will count toward securing this objective. Players can speak with Captain Theris Dawnhearth to remain updated on the current progress percentage. The two available daily quests are:
Erratic Behavior
(Rewards 9 gold 10 silver, +150 Reputation) *
The Sanctum Wards
(Rewards 9 gold 10 silver, +150 Reputation) *
When 100% progress has been reached, the following will happen:
Tradesman Portanuus
<Trade Supplies> spawns
Harbinger Inuuro
(questgiver) spawns
Battlemage Arynna
(questgiver) spawns
The previous two objective-oriented daily quests will now be defunct, and will be replaced with two new daily quests in Phase 2.

The previous two objective-oriented daily quests will now be defunct, and will be replaced with two new daily quests in Phase 3.
Activating the Sunwell Portal
Phase 2 also has players activate the
Sunwell Portal
. Completion of this objective does not assist in advancing progress towards Phase 3 but rather focuses on transportation to and from the Isle. Players can complete a daily quest towards this goal, which will be replaced once it has been met.
Tradesman Portanuus
will ask that players travel to Shattrath to assist Exarch Nasuun in the process of creating a portal between Shattrath and the Isle of Quel'Danas.
Report to Nasuun
- Rewards 75 silver at 70, +10 Reputation *
Intercepting the Mana Cells

When 100% progress has been reached, the following will happen:

Darnarian's Scroll of Teleportation
is consumed with a single use, it is rewarded from a permanent daily quest, so you can obtain one easy method of returning to Shattrath per day.

Once the Monument to the Fallen has been constructed, the following quest replaces "A Charitable Donation":
Your Continued Support
- Rewards +150 Reputation
Once all objectives on the
Isle of Quel'Danas
have been completed, the naaru
K'iru
spawns and buffs players zone-wide and inside the Magisters' Terrace with
K'iru's Song of Victory
, increasing Stamina by 79 and Intellect by 40. This buff does not stack with
Power Word: Fortitude
or
Arcane Intellect

This concludes the effort to reclaim Sun Reach for the Shattered Sun Offensive. This area will now serve as a permanent quest hub, offering many daily quests, vendors and other resources for players. Besides all that wacky Sunwell stuff, 2.4 also brought in some new daily quests for people who love to fish, PVP or do both at the same time.
Daily Fishing Quests
These quests are given by
Old Man Barlo
who can be found on the shore of Slimyr Lake outside
Shattrath City
. The quest is random each day and are similar to the cooking Dailies given by
The Rokk
. The different quests require varied levels of fishing skill so players with lower skill may not be able to complete a certain day's quest. Each quest involves travel across Outland to different locations, and every day will feature a random quest out of five.
Bait Bandits
- Terokkar Forest (355 skill)
Crocolisks in the City
- Ogrimmar or Stormwind (1 skill)
Felblood Fillet
- Hellfire Peninsula (275 skill) or Shadowmoon Valley (380 skill)
Shrimpin' Ain't Easy
- Zangarmarsh (300 skill)
The One That Got Away
- Nagrand (380 skill)
The reward for these quests is a
Bag of Fishing Treasures
which can contain some gold, grey items, and (of course) fish. You also have a chance to get
Sharpened Fish Hooks
, a
Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat
, or a
cooking recipe
to make
Captain Rumsey's Lager
. Most importantly, though, the bag has a chance to contain one of
four non-combat crocolisk pets
!
Daily World PVP Quests
Patch 2.4.0 introduced new Daily PVP quests in Terrokar Forest and Nagrand. The quests are given at their respective faction camps in each zone.
Nagrand
Alliance questgiver:
Lakoor
in Telaar
Horde questgiver:
Karrtog
in Garadar
You must defeat 10 players of the opposing faction in the vicinity of Halaa in order to complete this quest, actually capturing Halaa is not required.
In Defense of Halaa
(Alliance)
Enemies Old and New
(Horde)
The reward for this quest is 209 honor and 11 gold 99 silver at Level 70.
Terokkar Forest
Alliance questgiver:
Exorcist Sullivan
in Allerian Stronghold
Horde questgiver:
Exorcist Vaisha
in Stonebreaker Hold
You must capture the spirit towers in order to receive quest credit and this can only be accomplished once every 6 hours.
Spirits of Auchindoun
(Alliance)
Spirits of Auchindoun
(Horde)
The reward for this quest is 209 honor and 11 gold 99 silver at Level 70.

yeah i dont get that either.. why would we pay 1000g just for a title? and 500 rep? what good is 500 rep from a quest that REQUIRES EXALTED?

I'll give you that. I'm not sure why it rewards reputation at all. As far as the cost goes, the people that are still saving for their epic mounts aren't the demographic this quest is shooting for.
Personally? I can't resist alliteration. My main's name is Shibumi and
Shibumi of the Shattered Sun
is just too cool. Plus, I have the gold -- so, I'm probably going to get it.

Doing dailies...or gearing myself for Karazhan... Trust me, it's a hard decision.
Thanks for the dailies guide, I was doing one myself, but was only at the beginning at Isle of Quel'Danas at the time I saw this. //deleted//

With all the daily needed to get to exalted, You should have more than enough gold to pay it.
yeah but youre paying for a TITLE...and not even a title that shows some sort of accomplishment. We're all gonna have that kinda gold... we're all gonna hit exalted. To me "Hand of Adal" or "Champion of the Naaru" mean so much more.
