Shadow help!

First off, Shadow is my OS, that being said I still like to do my best.
I'll pop down general stuff I do, please point out major flaws / any adjustments.
Stat Priority:
Int > (Spirit > Hit - to hit cap) > Haste > Crit > Mastery.
Opening on boss / hard trash mobs:
VT > SW:P > DP > MF > MF > Archangel > MBlast > MF > MF > Priority
- This means I get up DoT's whilst getting in position, before stacking evangelism. Then get Darkangel up ASAP. The 2x restack Evangelism.
Form here I aim to keep all DOT's up, and keep the Shadoworb power-up buff on at all times.
I always choose MF > MB, unless the buff needs refreshing or i'm on 3x orbs.
Also chuck fiend in if I think I wont be having mana issues.
Trinket is used on an Archangel proc.
Love using MC on coasts, disarming hard hitting mobs/bosses is also something I cuck about, aswell as DHymn, HoHope and Leap of Faith where required.
Any hints or tips would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. I did havea look over on EJ, but tehy don;t have a guide on the spell stuff as of yet :(

Sinespe, thank you for your detailed reply, its much appreciated.
Archangel after an early VT refresh makes sense, started using that already.
Forgot to mention that I've been playing at 85 for less than a week now, so early raids and heroics are all i'm in at present.
I'm at an ilevel of 346 with my offset so far though, all heroic gear + epic rep belt.
Gems: red = 40 int, yellow = 20 int & 20 haste, blue = 20 int and 20 haste.
(At present I am sticking to socket bonuses)
Have also noticed a big DPS increase since falling under hit cap (seems the new paradigm is working as intended) - pre-writing this thread I was on about 7K or thereabouts, now i'm sitting closer to 9K - though that could be something to do with tighter rotation/a few pieces of new gear)
I do delight in MC's stuff like the naga witches yes, CLighting and the other debuff are just plain awesome! Usually use the Adepts to heal when i'm playing Holy :) - have yet to try many others as I usually end up being Healer. Think part of the difference between a me being an okay Spriest and a good Spriest will be using these abilities (HoH/LoF/DH/Dispell) well.
I've still got some major things to fix: the quest chain in Deepholm to unlock Therazzine rep grind, grabbing a new pair of shoes from Ramkahen rep and the GB trinket I am drooling over, but I should now have my rotation of sorts down to a tee :)
Does tacking Hit in favour of Spirit have any downside?
Ow and could you suggest a buff watcher, purely because trying to have good awareness of what's going on (especially whilst learning fights) and having to look at my buff bar for Shadow orb's and the Mastery buff.
One last question - Do DoT's now just tick faster/more often with haste, or has haste effect been removed from DoT's? I would have thought the former but I can't be sure.
P.S. Dispersion tanked twice today after the tank died, gave the druid healer enough time to res the tank back up - SPriests really are handy!
Thanks again Sinespe, you've been great help : )

Right, feel much better now I understand haste mechanics :)
Been swapping out more of my healing gear, resulting in me falling to around 12% hit, but my DPS is around 10-12K now on the more stationary fights (would like to see what it'd be like with Dark Intent)!
2 new trinkets to work for (BRC last boss and GB last boss), and a few more conversions to Shadow-styled gear, but i'm getting there now :)
One more question tho' In the last 35% of a mob/bosses life, is it a DPS loss/gain to start using SW:D (usually the double tap) - oh and does doubble-tapping SW:D mean you get a whopping 20% of your mana back (2/2 Masochism talented) ?
cheers

DoTs which are affected by haste currently have their total duration shortened as you get more haste (making it tick more frequently) until they reach the threshold where the haste adds another tick to the spell at which point the total duration is reset to the base duration. More haste after that will again make the total duration shorter until the next threshold is reached and another tick added resetting the duration, and so on.
So your VT will never have 6.5 ticks, Sinespe. :p I understand what you're getting at but for the sake of your guide update, it should probably say something like (assuming 6 ticks with a VT refresh before the last, then the last tick): the 7th tick (the second tick after refreshing) coming on time equivalent to to 6.5 ticks at the base duration of VT counting from the moment the first VT applied to the target when you have that much haste. Not sure if I am making sense here, but yeah.
EJ documented it in far better detail and wording than my attempt at summary:
