So I was trying to mine and herb on my hunter and saw like 4 nodes all within 3 yards of each other ran to get them only to find they vanished because of phasing in the far west of TH. IS there any quests to do to get ride of that phasing or anything?

As far as I know this is a known issue to Blizzard and they are working on it. Expect a fix Soon™

Having completed ever quest in TH, I'm annoyed to say it's the quest progress that is causing the phasing issues, not the lack thereof (as happened to many people in Icecrown). They really need to make the nodes ignore phasing, besides terrain phasing, obviously.

If they were to simply ignore phasing people would go mad because of the nodes and herbs simply disappearing in front of them because some other guy herbed/mined from another phase.

It's no different then the nodes disappearing because you entered a different phase. If someone mined/herbed the node, what difference does it make whether you saw them or not? (besides hacking of course) At least this way, everyone has a fair chance of getting them.

The nodes are disappearing because someone else is mining them. TH is a very busy place, some people have not completed the quests there and probably never will. So there will always be people around that you can't see. If this is happening, change directions in your farming route.

Uh no nice theory but it's incorrect.
I've seen this happen tons of times. You fly towards said node and it will vanish, along with any hostile mobs in the area of said node.

I can state for a fact it's not somebody else mining them and that it is phasing. I've landed on my 310 flying mount right next to a node and actually been able to click to mine it as it's phasing out into invisibility. I will get the XP for mining it but not the ore. If that's not phasing I don't know what is.

The fact I found a herb in TH randomly floating about 20 yards in midair from any stand-able surface was evidence enough to me for Blizz to go over it's nodes, not just in the phasing issues but in placement also.
Flying herbs are one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Frustrating, but funny. At least if it was ore you could stand on top of it to mine it anyway.

You have to realize that you're not beting "cheated" of a herb or a mine. You've probably got mines and herbs in your phasing that people from other phases can't reach. Yes it sucks to know you can't get that mine or that herb but next time you see one, just think about what I said - you're not being cheated.

Okay, as of now I would like to withdraw my previous statement. I totally agree with you now. Phasing sucks Sh*t and b*lls. I'm herbing in Twilight and nearly every herb I see is phased. fml
