The most trivial content (that still rewards a mount) would be Ulduar. And the mounts still look cool, too.

I really like the Red Drake from Exalted Wyrmrest and the Snowy Armoured Gryphon.

Theres only been one solo Al'Ar run. Was done by that epic german Blood DK. Hes the king of soloing and he could only solo the raid in raid quality cataclysm gear and even then it took 5 hours. SO yeah, if you wanna farm something like AL'ar, get about 2 other guildies to help.
Quality Wrath gear, not Cata. And it was with the old talent system where you could get a hybrid Blood / Unholy spec.

Heroic ICC 10 man achievement
. It's pretty easy now, and the reward is a
really nice mount
.

I'm a fan of the hippogryphs personally.
I have quite a few random mounts on my Shaman (dragons, birds, nether rays, what have you), but I only use the
Cenarion War Hippogryph
and the
Silver Covenant Hippogryph
... Wish I had the tenacity to man up and hit out the Argent Tourney dailies for another 150 Champion Seals, then I could round off my collection with the
Argent Hippogryph
.
edit: Though tomorrow I will have enough TB Commendations to get myself a nice, shiny new
Reins of the Drake of the West Wind
... we'll see if I get tired of it like the other dragons.
side note: I like the new item linking system... saves me a bit of trouble and adds a pretty little icon to my links to boot.
