Anyone got good advice for my guild?

So, I'm in the Horde guild "Warriors of Virtue" on Alexstraza. We are mostly a social/leveling guild and most of us are pretty good friends, so I don't want to just gquit.
But lately, our guild has become a garbage dump of bad DPS. I cringed while tanking for Wrath-level guildies on my warrior. And our 85s, who are well over Heroic geared, are doing even worse.
Basically, our guild is a bit heavy on the side of casters. We have a lot of Spriests, Arcane and Frost Mages, and all kinds of Warlocks. We have a couple mages and a warlock that I regret to inform you are our "top DPS" at a whopping 5.5k in normal stonecore....
Most of them have stopped queing random because their low DPS kept getting them kicked, and I am now at the level where I have to step back and try my hand at helping everyone. Mostly because, with 10 lvl 85s, we still can't down KT in 10man Naxxramas.
As far as I know for some of these classes, everyone is specced and geared right. I know our rogues have problems with understanding "get behind the ****ing enemy" and our Mages don't watch there procs at all. (4k DPS, 100% Frostbolt...)
So, any vauge ideas that can help me out here? Speciffically how to get most of my guildies (who think they are better because they are either 5+ years older or younger than me...) to actually LISTEN when I try to explain the problem? All I can think of is to double their DPS on my toon and let recound show the rest,

IMO, you should gquit. If people refuse to listen when you try to help them, they will never get better. I remember in BC, a hunter in my guild asked me how to do better DPS. I told him "Get rid of your spellthread and get leg armor, drop all your spirit gems, and get to the hit cap" (I used the actual number, though). Two weeks later, he comes up to me asking what he can do to increase his DPS. I took a quick look at his gear, and saw he'd taken only some of my advice, and even then done it wrong (e.g. replacing Spirit with Stamina).
If you want to help your guildies out, tell them to go to ElitistJerks or here and read up on their class, as this should get them the majority of the information they need. There are also several blogs you can probably find on google to tell them how to do that. You realize, though, that 5.5k DPS and under is pathetic (there is no excuse for doing under 7k in heroics, barring specific fights, and if you're geared from heroics you should easily be >10k) and you're never going to progress with a group like that.
Most of them have stopped queing random because their low DPS kept getting them kicked, and I am now at the level where I have to step back and try my hand at helping everyone. Mostly because, with 10 lvl 85s, we still can't down KT in 10man Naxxramas.
I had a group of guildies go back to ICC 10 and get the H LK achievement last week, something that the top players in the guild couldn't handle in 3.3. That said, KT is probably the hardest fight now of the WotLK raids, simply because his ice blocks require you to do so much more healing now. Still, all the other effects of the encounter should be trivialized, and he should be easy.

Prety much agreeing with skribs here; if they won't listen and improve then you're gonna have to consider finding your fun elsewhere.
We have someone like that in our guild. A hunter. Hooo boy. All our guildies who play hunters as mains attempted to help this person, gave up in frustration. Then the rest of us who have hunter alts tried...gave up. It wasn't so bad in Wrath, as a person not contributing to the group made no real difference and would only ever be in danger of getting themselves killed, so it wasn't much just to take them as a useless fifth sometimes to forestall any moaning about never getting guild runs. Obviously this person is now a danger to any group they run with...but 20+ people haven't been able to help them, and I don't think we'll ever be able to.
However...sounds like you have a guild full of people like the above.
A few things that have worked with other people we've had to work with:
Wowhead - don't just say "go to Wowhead and read", that rarely works. Actually give them links to relevent threads and forums. As a Wowhead user yourself you should be able to keep an eye out for anything that might be of use (outside of the FAQ/Helpful Threads posts on the class forums ofc).
EJ - if you use EJ the same way you use wowhead, the same applies. Be careful though, dropping the learners into EJ without any sort of guidance can be overwhelming.
Recount - you said yourself ; double their dps and show them how you did it. Use the training dummies to do it in little one-on-one sessions where you can really guide them in a non-stressful environment.
Addons - you mentioned mages not watching procs; a few simple addons can help out with big flashy graphics and loud noises. Don't go nuts, ofc, but suggest a few to them.
Character pane - not everyone realises how much info is in the new character pane. Might want to check they all know how to hover and check their hit rating etc ;)
Just typing that out made me believe I'd /gquit if I had to do it myself. I have done it, but not for a whole guild all at once. I dunno how many others in the guild can lend a hand with this, but I'm hoping there are a few who can cos it's gonna be a lotta work.
Good luck :)

They have stickies at the top with links to the guides. If they're too stupid to figure that out, they're probably too stupid to read the post.

The default UI does this now, too.

Once you put things on the internet, they are there for everyone to see them. Many WoW players like to complain - are you really willing to give up your anonymity just to insult them?
If you don't like it, quit. We all have things we want to set out to do, and the only person you're hurting by feeling obligated to apply yourself to an unspoken agreement is yourself.
In Wrath, I left one of my favorite guilds because I wanted to do ToC Hardmodes, my guildies didn't. I wanted something to show for how much effort I put into playing the game, and they didn't really care. I was tired of Lower Spire 2 weeks after icecream citadel was released and raiding 4 hours a week - 12 if we were really lucky.
I eventually set out to join another guild, Honor and Arms of Stormrage as it was, which was in worse shape than the previously mentioned guild. Their good raiders would sign up for badge night (tuesday), and leave the other half of the raid with players who were still gearing up on progression. And, as you may have guessed, they never did any hardmodes - and if they did, it was with a small 10-man clique within the guild.
In the end, I accomplished nothing - except maybe shooting myself in the foot, in a manner of speaking. Do I regret it? nah. After Honor and Arms, I quit the game for nearly a year, got a job, and pursued some of my life goals.
Now I'm back again, and I'm in a guild that has just started BWD progression, and in our first night we've brought Magmaw to 30%, and I'm confident that after our players gather more gear that we will have the fight down this week.
But just remember; WoW is a game. If you're not enjoying it, you're doing it wrong.

Tell them to read EJ and do everything those threads tell them to do.

Gquit and find something better. Its your free-time that you should be enjoying, if you are frustrated by your guild up to a point of already considering gquiting, then do so. Find your greener grass ;)
