Critical Block / Hold the Line

Hey,
I'm curious how the critical block mechanic from the talent
Hold the Line
works exactly.
Assuming my warrior is either Arms or Fury (and as such does not have the
Critical Block
bonus from the Prot spec): will the talent still provide critical block to me (of course assuming I'm wearing a shield), or is that part of the talent's bonus "lost"?
Now about the exact numbers. My warrior has 5% block. If Hold the Line is active, what happens?
(a) Critical block replaces normal hits: My warrior now has 5% chance to block non-critically, 10% chance to block critically, 85% dodge/parry/hit/...
(b) Critical block replaces normal block: My warrior now has 0% chance to block non-critically, 5% chance to block critically (and thus, 5% of the talent are "wasted"), 95% else.
(c) Critical block replaces normal block first and then hit: My warrior now has 0% chance to block non-critically, 10% chance to block critically, 90% else.
(d) Something else... (what?)
Best wishes,
Ordayc

I don't believe you can critacally block without the critical block mastery, but even if you could, it doesn't work like any of your examples. Your % to critically block is of your block %. So a 10% crit block chance and a 5% block chance results in a .5% chance to critically block and a 4.5% chance to block normally.

Thanks to you two for clearing up the math. Now only my first question remains (whether or not Hold the Line benefits non-Prot warriors), but I guess whether those 0.5% of attacks are critical or normal blocks doesn't make much of a difference, anyways. ;-)

the only thing you will gain is 10% crit after a block.
