Hi, i realise this is a little nonsense post, from someone otherwise never seen here, but it made me chuckle while i was passing away some time browsing wowhead
I stumbled over the druid class page and found this under the cataclysm little bit (now i don't want to start another feral nerf rant), it's just a simple chuckle over a otherwise bad situation
"Almost no game-breaking (or game-making) changes await the druid class in Cataclysm."
I enjoyed the "almost" part of that
anyway thought i'd share and hopefully bring a little smile to some folks

Haha, thats a pretty good comment indeed, thanks for pointing that out :)

They didn't lie though :P They haven't made any game-breaking changes, unless I missed something blatantly obvious while reading the patch notes.

That's the joke. "
Almost
no game-breaking. . ." implies a number close to, but greater than zero. Get it?

I hear bubble is pretty OP and next on their list :)
I would hardly care :P Divine Shield IS OP, and the original nerf hardly felt sufficient. invulnerability without anything but a damage penalty is OP, even with only an 8 second duration.
I have a Holy Paladin main, but I am slowly replacing it with my Resto Druid - which makes me care even less what they do to Paladins :P Resto Druids are tons of more fun to heal with than Paladins.
But really, if you find any of the changes oh-so game-breaking, feel free to point them out. I have yet to spot any that seemed game-breaking.

Game-breaking, maybe not. Class-breaking ... debatable.

Go back and read the post you skipped the middle 4 pages on... Gamebreaking? not in my opinion but sure as fraking hell a pain in the ass.

Pain in the ass is one thing. We can sure agree on that :P I
do
love being resto now though xD makes this nerf hit me a bit less. That doesn't change the fact that the feral and balance specs will be crippled though, but hey, they weren't exactly slow to begin with, so while the crippling hurts, it doesn't break anyone, but the weak.
Get up, and keep moving. If you let a change like
this
make you reconsider your class, your loyalty to the class is questionable at best.

Nobodies loyalty here is in question. A change like
this
as you so put it, is crippling. Utterly. You've obviously not had much experience with feral druids in PvE or PvP so I'll forgive you for that. But dont make light of this change, it will fundamentally break feral PvP (unless blizz gives ferals a new tool of any description) and for PvE it will have a minor impact and make a few gimmicky fights a tiny bit harder since we cant remove roots from ourselves as often.

Removed the quote wall >.<
It is crippling, but as have so many other changes. If you were a resto druid at the launch of patch 4.0, you had probably been among those of us who were raging over the change. I was. But after disputing countless of counter-arguments, and rereading all of my posts, I figured out how stupid it were. We thought it was game-breaking, when it wasn't. We thought it made our class equal to the others, when it didn't. This change will be a tough hit, and I agree on that - but it wont be class breaking. That's all I'm saying. I am not calling this a minor hit - nor am I saying this is a small change that wont impact our ability - I am also not saying this puts us in line with the others. True, it may actually put us slightly below some classes. But it wont break our spec.
Take a deep breath, calm down, wait for the change, and play it out. Come back after a month or so, when you have had a chance to feel the change's real effect on the class. If most people find it game-breaking by then, then you have a valid case, and I stand corrected. Numbers, presumptions, and impressions made solely by a few days of playing Beta, or even worse, from looking at the patch notes, is hardly proof enough. If it were this easy to test things out, it wouldn't take so long for each PTR to go live.
