Alcotraz's guide has excellent sections on glyphs, talents and abilities so make sure you check it out. However it is morely written for end game tanking so lets see if I can expand on some of it for ya.
This is what I'd be using at 63, lots of self healing and damage prevention abilities. Might be a bit on the weak side of aoe threat but using a good threat add-on you can keep an eye on what you have the least threat on and switch to that target for a bit.
and
are going to be your main AoE threat abilitites.
Death and Decay is pretty damn good as well.
Death Strike is going to be one of your main abilities, you should aim to hit with it right after you get hit.
Death Grip is your only taunt until you hit 65 when you get
Dark Command, so use it sparingly. At your level I'd save it for pulling mobs off the healer/dps, just in case. Also this might be obvious but always check to make sure you are in
Veteran of the Third War, I've made that mistake before when doing ICC.
Icebound Fortitude,
Vampiric Blood and
are your really main defensive cooldowns.
Icebound Fortitude you want to use when you are prempting a big damage period,
Vampiric Blood when you get low on health, and
you want to use right after you activate
Vampiric Blood for the increased healing it gives.
is not as good as these other 3 cooldowns, in that it works best when you have high avoidence, but you can use it every minute for at the very minimum approx. 18 seconds of 20% reduced damage. So while you can use it on trash, try to time it so you can have it up for the boss.
I think that covers most things you have right now. You are very close to getting, at 65
Dark Command and
Horn of Winter, at 66 you get
Death Pact, and at 67
. When you get
Horn of Winter you want to get the glyph for it as well
Charred Glyph, and use it ever time it's about to run out.
is a Death Knights main threat ability. Period. So when you get that make sure you are using it as often as you can.
Death Pact is a fantastic ability for those "OH SH**" moments when everything is going wrong, or even just when your healer is having trouble, so try putting it into a macro with
Raise Dead so that you just have to hit that button twice for a huge self heal. Pairing that with
Vampiric Blood, again gives a nice healing buff. Eventually at 68 you also get
Anti-Magic Shell, which is another great ability that you can make use of, but it is situational, and has a very short duration.
For your weapon, make sure you are using the best Runeforge you have available, right now it's only
but at 63 you get
, so a good idea might be to have two weapons, one of each runeforge, so that when the situation calls for it you can swap between them. At least until you can get
Rune of the Stoneskin Gargoyle at 72.
Hope that's not too much info for ya all in one go.
