No, it would not. It's more worthwhile to cast scorch while moving instead of fire blast (unless you want to cleave dots with impact). Hard casting a pyroblast is one of those things people debate about. If you hard cast it, and do not get a hot streak proc to reapply the pyroblast dot for the entire duration of the hard casting pyro, then it would be a dps increase I believe. Generally though it's not worth the long cast or chancing no hot streak procs.
I would also highly recommend changing your spec. I would suggest dropping cauterize (personal choice thing), and picking up improved flamestrike. If you don't want to drop cauterize then for sure drop the points in Improved Fire Blast.
Also, if you're above 646 haste rating and have a 5% spell haste buff, then you only need 2/3 Netherwind Presence to get an extra tick from your living bomb.
I personally use:

because clearcasting is exceptionally helpful for entry raiding for mana.

Recommends cauterize sure but it's still completely situational. For progression content I would recommend it, but for farmed content I would not.
Ethix, I am curious why you took the last two points in Arcane concentration. With the recent mana reduction of fireball I am thinking that (still) only the single point is the best DPS upgrade (@6% chance to proc) with the other two significantly falling short of the 1% DPS increase mark (
source
). Also, with the pyromanic bug fix I don't see much use for that talent in ANY of the t11 fights, all of which I've done multiple times (with the exception of Al'akir, where
know
more than 2 adds aren't up at a time). There aren't bosses that with good aoe dps adds aren't dying within 20-30 seconds.
Also, until the 4.0.6 comes out, it's been proven that
Ember Shadowspirit Diamond
is a better dps increase over Chaotic because of the gem choices you have to make. Intellect rules all, no matter what the circumstances. Green gems are garbage :( Despite having a great amount of crit (with BER helping a lot with that), using the ember meta and int/crit and int/hit gems your SP and mana pool could be much much higher.

- Never hard cast Pyroblast unless you are opening.
- Cauterize is better than where you can put the other points.
- Ember Shadowspirit Diamond > Chaotic Shadowspirit Diamond
- Only Fireblast to spread dots.
- Pyroblast Glyph > LB Glyph
- Only one point IF ANY into Arcane Concentration.
Just curious, what's the logic/math behind
Pyro glyph
>
LB glyph
If I get don't get a HS pyro for a straight minute, it would just be as if I had left the glyph spot empty. Going with the LB glyph guarantees a DPS increase, while Pyro is entirely dependent on crits proccing hot streak.
Or... should we recommend Pyro at raid-gear levels and LB for heroic/pre-raid/mixed gear levels?
On another note, with the massive mana cost reductions for FB and LB currently in 4.0.6 notes, plus the ability to swap from mage/molten armors on the fly for no cost, I feel like Arcane Concentration just got a lot less valuable. Thoughts?

It's impossible to gem for int and meet the Chatoic meta requirements, you'd need a good amount of green crit/hit gems to satisfy using +40 int, int/crit, or int/hit gems.
You personally are gemming for pure crit (which is NEVER a good idea in PvE).

But my point is crit is not a stat that has more weight then Int, it may feel right, but despite your decent crit rating your spell power is miserably low.

Don't forget that Int also adds a small amount of crit as well.

I agree with you that 30% raid buffed is nice, but it's still spellpower that matters the most. 30% crit with 6.3k raid buffed spell power is just a waste of all that crit :)

Well, I don't gem for crit, and I still get close to 30% raid buffed. More if you count critical mass. :)

lol, yeah 30% raid buffed is nice. I get 41% raid buffed and 8.3k sp :P
