Reforge questions...

Hey guys, I have a simple question. I've been reforging all my haste into mastery, unless there was mastery already on the item then into dodge. I'm only up to about 29.5% dodge in burr form and 19.23 mastery (76% of SD). I'm about to start raiding with my guild and I was wondering if perhaps I should re-reforge some of that mastery into dodge to bring my % up, or should I stick with what I'm doing? Check my armory link below and any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

ONLY use that trinket for fights where you take (a lot of) magic damage! Else the on use effect is wasted, and even the crab would be better.

(nothing worse then a taunt missing)
I don't believe taunts can miss any more.

@Parra: I'm not reforging dodge or mastery ever. If there is already mastery on the item, then I reforge my haste into dodge. Like if the item has +haste and +mastery, then I reforge some of the haste into +dodge. I know that mastery is too dang good for us. So are you saying I should be reforging that + haste to +dodge all the time?
@LookOut: I will be doing that. But for fights where there is a lot of magic damage, I would imagine the TB trinket to be invaluable right?

The first thing I always make sure is :
A:) Expertised Soft Cap 26
B.) Hit Capped
Everything else is reforge
Haste > Dodge
Crit > Dodge
If you must Reforge Mastery because you are short Expertise and hit Capped then do it.

Yeah, the damage 'nerf's are currently only tooltip updates.
Most bears in groups and raids are finding themselves more than 12% ahead of DPS in terms of threat anywho, so even if they're not tooltip updates, you should still not have a problem keeping ahead of the DPS if you're still doing the same thing.
The changes Blizzard has made to things seems to have it set up so that we no longer have to focus on pure threat stats (Exp/Hit) to ensure we can do our job, and that we'll pick it up as a byproduct of gearing, thereby keeping up with the DPS anyway.
While gearing/reforging for Exp and Hit isn't necessarily wrong, I've met and talked to PLENTY of on-par/slightly-undergeared bears in progression content with little to no Exp or Hit who are having exactly zero threat issues.

I think the only side effect of lacking the caps is that I/we have to pay closer attention to whether or not our abilities actually land when we press the buttons. For tanking, that means: did Pulverize actually activate or did it miss, did Lacerate actually refresh my stack or is it still ticking, making sure you leave a buffer for a miss or two before you refresh a Lacerate stack if you're doing something else for whatever reason, and so on.

This is a lot of great info. I did re-reforge my stuff to dodge but I feel as if I lost too much mastery at the cost of dodge. Also, I forgot to mention that I offspec as a kitty and that most of my gear is the same as of right now. And doing mastery allows me to do that. Thanks for all the info though, and once I get a full kitty set I will do all dodge!

And, if you have a problem wrapping your head around that one, think of it this way: Dodge will be active for every single incoming attack, whereas Mastery will only be effective for those attacks made against you while you have Savage Defense up.

I believe so, but I have yet to farm the rep myself to get the trinket, so I haven't really tested this out yet.
It's not like magic fights are dominant anyways :) But still, nice to have.
