We use the same method (and sometimes suffered from the same bugs) as Gromtar. Cho in the middle of the room, adds die on the stairs and if we have to we drag Cho closer to the throne. At the last phase we have pre dragged Cho into a suitable corner/alcove corner of the room.
This is in 10 man btw. No idea how suitable this would be in 25, never tried - never will.

we place adds arround the throne in a r,r,l,l, configuration. get the hunter to lay a trap. and the dk to aoe pull them towards him. by the time the adds are nearning the end of the frost trap i'll SF them all and they are basically down from there.
in last phase we tank cho on the stairs (as it's free from adds) and the tenticles are all within close range. easier to wtf pwn them down. 1x tenticles normally killed/ interrupted pop BL then u got 1 dead cho.

So, having Cho'gall in the narrow entrance zone makes the tentacles spawn closer together?
I'll have to propose that to our raid leader.
