Oh geez, don't do this in here; just put it in UI&M and get them to sticky it. I never read this forum.

But it'll get locked won't it..? I mean you claimed right from the start that the thread regarding writing were for us, but they locked it..?

I think the idea of reducing the instances of the regulars derailing everything was more appealing than the idea of keeping the forum completely pure and focused.

As for that thread you meantioned, yeah... but I didn't have the proper argument or compulsion to appeal that then. It was also incendiary
:)
.

Actually, they MOVED it to Off-Topic and unlocked it and it has since gotten more posts! I'm reading through it now...

Initiating off-topic:
@Wikipedia: What are you keeping score of in your signature?
@pelf: Is there a specific reason your name starts with a lower-case letter?

In the past, I didn't usually capitalize handles. I do now, but I blame WoW for that ... staring at my characters' names with that enforced uppercase first letter for years has kind of just wormed it into my brain.
That said: for pelf, I like pelf more than Pelf. The big P is fat and top heavy. pelf is short, flat, at least attempts to be balanced by the descender on the p versus the ascenders on the l and the f.
I think the lack of original capitalization came from the olden days of AIM when nobody capitalized their handles. Also, in instant communication I write in a far more degraded style than I do when I'm making forum posts. I don't capitalize anything.
