Even if I really don't like Athene?
:/
I don't like the way he speaks, acts nor do I change his sense of "humour" that he tries to project with the clips.

Great news everyone!
Me and Krow are expecting children. Krow just did a birth-control test and it turned out to be positive.

The problem is that 9x is not = 9, you're selectively rounding your answer here.
if x = 0.(9), then 10x is 9.(9), and 9x is 9 * .(9) = 8.999...991 and 8.99...991 =/= 9
You seem to have discovered the end of an infinite sequence. I'm shock.

I honestly haven't a clue, I was too busy being disturbed about it D:
and i know what the quote ment, it was just... unrelated! after all, mitt modersmål är svenska! huge shock omg
aaand about skype, we'll have to see! At what times are you normally expecting me there? :p

Swedish..? rly? I always thought you were full-Finnish

Now we want you on skype even more, so we can be bashing Krow with our Swedish
:>
And about the quote being unrelated, I'm trying to derail this topic too

i have my secrets :<
but if this topic is dedicated to unrelated things, how can you derail it with unrelated things...
edit. if you want to, add me on skype, k-kamii

I have to start somewhere, so I might aswell start out in the beginning (as OT and move on to less OT in the OT-thread).

How do you derail that, which follows no rails?

You put it on rails and remove 'em.

The thing that you are doing wrong here Fox is that your conclusion does not apply when there's an infinite amount of 9's in the 0.(9) term.
when substracting 9.(9) - 0.(9) the (9) parts are EXACTLY equal, that's how infinite numbers work.
Therefore each nine in the second term will "remove" one from the first term making 9x = 9. Because (infinity) + 1 = (infinity)
However, as soon as there's a finite number of decimals your conclusion is correct.

But infinity^2 > infinity.

you're not following me here....
Allow me to illustrate with a separate example:
1 = 3/3 # Basic Math
1/3 = .(3) # As per you're own admission of non-terminating decimals. This is what is being disproved.
1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 = 1 # Again basic math (1 + 1 + 1) /3 = 1
.(3) + .(3) + .(3) = .(9) # Also basic math since 3 + 3 + 3 = 9 then in an infinite sequence all additions of 3 will equal to 9 for each place. Thus equaling .(9)
1 =/= (.9) # again obvious, but for your sake, .(9) is exactly .(0)1 off.
You are selectively rounding your numbers.
Another way to disprove this.
1 = 1.(0)
1.(0) is one order of magnitude different than 0.(9) no matter what way you spin it. Thus they cannot be equal.
Also, using your own theory. If .(9) = 1 then why is .(5) < .6 ?
1 + 1 = 2
.(9) + .(9) = 1.8(9)
You can repeat this infinitely. 1 + 1 + 1 = 3. .(9) + .(9) + .(9) = 2.7(9) etc.
That said, for all practical applications .(9) == 1 if only for the simple fact that it is impossible to actually work with a non-terminating decimal without losing precision at some point. (lol at putting your admission in small tags btw. Didn't see it until I'd written this all out XD)
