You have the following happening:
People are trying to capture the flag.
People are fighting like mad in open fields.
And no one is defending the towers you captured.
There is very little reason to fight on the open road. you should always fight at a tower.
Get your team to ignore the flag and cap FR and BE and then defend it. Once you do that then you can work on the third tower or start fighting lke made on the center road for the flag.

No matter what faction you play you will often be subjected to mindnumbing idiocy and soulcrushing ineptitude. People only rarely play to win and spend most of their time performing pointless one-man wow-hero kamikazi attacks on the other side.. usually fighting as far from any real objectives as humanly possible.
You will simply have to suffer through it until you can get into rated battlegrounds somewhere down the line.
I don't have any Alliance characters so I can only assume this is true for both sides, but I can absolutely assure everyone that everything he said is true for Horde. It's always nice to get on one of those teams where people play together to win, but it just seems to be such a rare occurrence. I already came to the conclusion that I would just have to suck it up until I get geared and find a guild that does rated BGs.

playing both factions, I hate playing this bg with my shaman, add 15+ queue times, makes me want to kill baby seals.
