Ive been usuing Ark Inventory for a few years now, I'm just tired of it's bloat, and nagging regarding translation ( wtf ) and...errors...
Interested what you all have been using and what you prefer? Thanks a bunch :)

Baggins... Little bit of a pain to config/keep config'd but I've yet to find anything as amazingly versatile.

I think I'm about to give
famBags
a try. It's highly customizable but lacks a few features (search, custom position).

Do any bag addons provide a way of labeling items? For example, if I kept a gear set in my bags, I could set it aside and still know when I picked up new gear to sell etc.
This is the entire pretense of baggins. It uses various 'sets' to set up virtual bags based on rules. Ie. I have a bag that shows me all of my items that match a list of specific item ids, as well as everything that matches the periodictable set for fishing gear. I also have a bag that shows me all my consumables, split into 4 sections (potions, elixirs, flasks, and other).
You can also sort by item quality, soulbound status, quest items, any of the periodictable sets, item ids, item name (full and partial), item slot, item type, etc.

Periodictable? Able to be periodicted? Periodic Table?
I've always kind of avoided bad mods because having the bags as kind of buckets and being able to not only sort into bags but also spatially arrange stuff within the bags has been more than enough to satisfy my OCD.
EDIT
: Then again, I also use x-perl.

I tried others, but in the end I keep my bags tidy, and can sort them just fine on my own...

I think I'm trying this tonight as well. Looks like a very nice alternative to Ark.
I'll admit, I have loved Ark for a long time but the recent bugginess has been getting to me even more than the OP. The problem is that it tries to do too much. Addons should have more of the Unix philosophy -- make a tool that does
one
thing but does it
well
. Kitchen sink tools are never as good or as useful as their designers think.
