According to EJ:
Strength > Hit to cap > Haste > Mastery > Expertise to cap > Crit > Agility
From what they are saying Mastery will be effecting approximately 35% of your dps.

Also, because of how the increased shadow damage works Death and Decay is again in our rotation (did some testing last night, has a higher Damage per cast then Scourge Strike, and scales incredibly well with haste and haste buffs), but only in the appropriate situation in which most of our ticks will hit the boss. Argaloth is one such fight where he is pretty static and it will be a DPS increase.

Nice info there, I just checked out.
I got 27% Shadow DMG increase by my Mastery, I just tested and a Death and Decay with two crits dealt 16k dmg, while a Scourge Strike deals only 9k (4.3k melee 4.7k shadow), my weapon is just fine since im using the ChoGall axe, so your theory looks overally correct, DnD is now more cost effective by SS by the first glance!
PS : I did use ebon plauge on the dummy, so the I didnt do anything to make either damage outpud different than it is
PSS : A death and decay with NO criticals should do VERY roughly 13k dmg, mine would be 14k since each tick was 1270 aprox and it ticked 11 times

On a side note, has anyone else noticed their haste jumped up 20% as unholy?
This is because the haste from Unholy Presence is finally showing in the tooltip.

Have to admit I'm a bit curious here. Your scourge strikes are only dealing 9k with the gear you're using? I just ran a few tests myself, and my strikes were doing around 6-7k damage each, but you've certainly got better gear then me.
Are you sure you didn't forget to put something up like Horn?

* The root that the Frost talent Chilblains gives to Chains of Ice is now properly affected by diminishing returns and shares diminishing returns with other root effects.
* Dark Transformation now increases pet damage by 60%, down from 80%.
* Death Coil damage has been reduced by 15%.
* The pet damage bonus from Shadow Infusion is now 6% per stack, down from 8%.
So I'm gathering from this that Death Coil was too powered up by the new mastery. Thoughts?

Really? We're only 2% above the other specs now, why can't they just leave us be?
Seeing as Death Coil and Scourge Strike (Shadow) and Scourge Strike are our leading DPS spells overall, Damage per cast time aside, the Death Coil nerf will hurt a lot.

Haste and haste buffs are known for incredible scaling with pretty much everything
Not true. They increase rune regeneration, and thus increase your damage output overall, but what I'm talking about is trying to get the most DPS possible out of each single rune, and Scourge Strike's (One Unholy) damage is unaffected by haste while Death and Decay (One Unholy) gets more ticks the more haste you have, and thus does more damage, and thus it's actual damage scales with Haste.

funny that, my DPS has gone DOWN about 30% after all the nerfs are applied. between 22 and 30% ghoul damage out the window, around 30% (I think just over) over my mastery damage gone, 10% of myDC damage gone, 13% of the damage on ALL my main attacks out the window, abominable might halved, the runic corruption has been changed down, and our spec specific bonus was given to both the other specs... yup, blizz loves UH :(

Mastery's benefit was improved, however pretty much everything it affects outside of DaD was nerfed.
You're forgetting an additional 15% of Death Coil hotfixed out.
Yeah, we deserved a nerf, but we might just have gotten hit harder then Survival at this point.

imo the Frost mage nerf, they got hit with a pillow case. We got hit with a god damn sledge hammer. And they were ahead of us anyway. Bet you all blizz emploies have a mage and a pally.
