Alrighty, other day i got a new mouse the razer deathadder because i wanted to do click casting for healing. the way i set up the mouse is as follows
left click = lifebloom
right click = rejuv
middle = nourish.
forward thumb button = wildgrowth.
back thumb button = shift.
then i also set it up to
shift + left click = swiftmend. etc etc etc
anyways, on with the problem. Say i hold down shift on the mouse to cast swiftmend on someone so they dont die and at the same moment im holding down "w" to move forward. i will continue to run no matter what i do. no matter if i let off the button or not. i've tried to hit auto run and everything else to "turn it off" and "stop my sef" but it will not let me stop running in which ever direction i was moving to begin with. it's happened with every one of the w,s,a,d & q,e. the only way to get it to stop is to restart wow. or die. one of the two.
so can anyone tell me what in the world is causing this? any feedback would be much appreciated

It's a keyboard and Windows issue. Either Windows doesn't recognize more than a certain number keystrokes at a time, or the keyboard doesn't send them.
And I completely missed the point... >.<
Why bind shift to your mouse? Does it persist if you are using shift on the keyboard?

I use a mac. But your talking about the "anti ghosting" thing right? where it'll only register 3 or so key presses at any one time?

I don't know about that, just that I'd experienced it in multiple games. Like moving forward while crouching and strafing (SHIFT+W+A, in a lot of games) may not let me do something else that requires a keystroke.
And a quick Google says, yes, that's what I was originally talking about.

Yup thats the anti ghosting thingy it'll only register you pressing so many keys at once. Gaming keyboards are usually designed to allow more keystrokes then the average keyboard to let you get around that. But to answer your question.
It doesnt happen when i use they shift on the keyboard just when i use shift on the mouse + a movement key. It's also not the ghosting thing because its only 2 keystrokes and i've used alot more then that at once when fighting the whale shark.
also when i push like shift (mouse) + w it'll auto run me forward. if i do shift (mouse) + e it'll run me diagonal. so if im going forward i can do shift + s to cancel it out. but if i touch a movement key again it'll keep moving in the direction it was before. This is just weird. o_0

I've had similar "stuck" key situations, normally pressing the direction I'm going fixes it though...
Is MouseButton4 set to be an autorun key?

auto run is set to the ~ key for me. it was more convenient. More playing around with it, i've found it only happens if you let off the keys at the same time. maybe it just never registers me letting off the w key or w/e. but when i push the key for the direction im moving it does fix it. =] Thank you so much!
