I was wondering what the current haste caps are for demo. I couldnt really find much information but I might just not be looking in the right place. Any help would be great.

with the change to inferno, demo no longer has particularly pronounced haste plateaus (often incorrectly referred to as caps).

So at this point, more haste should always be good for demo, right?

To some point, if you reforge and hit a new plateau then, most likely, it will be a DPS increase. However, if you won't reach a new plateau, then mastery will be better.

Well the reason I asked is because each spec benefits from a certain amount of haste. Id like to try and reach a certain plateau(I know its not a "cap" persay).
The other reason why I asked is because I found an addon called Reforgenator. Post patch is is saying that Affliction wants haste(which didnt change), BUT Demo wants crit now and Destro wants the haste. I havent ventured to the boards in a while because I had to take a 3 week hiatus from WoW and didnt really wanna read anything about it either.
I know the change to inferno changed demo but is it really crit we want to be reforging? (after hit of course)

I would have said mastery is much better than crit tbh.

however, as i said earlier, demo no longer has mechanics which make the specific haste points important.
you will be refreshing both immo and corruption before their last tick so the haste curve is almost entirely smooth.
currently, only destro has very strong plateaus.

Brokle... How is it that for the second extra tick Immo needs less haste rating but a higher percentage than Corr does?

I think it may have to do with the new inferno mechanic since the numbers he is quoting come from the Demo thread.
And here's a quote from that
thread
to further clairify:
As of 4.0.6, and the change to the Inferno talent, reaching the haste "thresholds" for any of our DoTs is no longer as important is it used to be. , achieving these will still result in a DPS increase
This applies to all of our DoTs except BoD, however, the haste required to achieve this extra tick will differ between DoTs. To calculate the required haste to achieve an additional tick, we would need to calculate the time between ticks, specific to 3 decimal places.

no no no. What I mean is, the percentage column is the Haste% that you need, and the rating column is the Haste Rating you need right? So how could you need less rating but a higher percentage? It doesn't make any sense.
As an example: For Corr's 2nd extra tick you need 25% Haste, or 1993 Rating (if you arn't a Goblin). But for Immo you need 30% Haste, which is 1573 Rating (again, if you arn't a Goblin).

Oh, I see, well it looks like (and I could be reading this wrong) but those percentages on the Immolation matrix are just not updated with the new tick percentages. It looks like we get an extra tick at 8%, 22%, 36% (rounded up). And that is again taken from the Elitist Jerks thread for Demo.
