Hi I was wondering about the mp5 actually for combat.
I know back in Wotlk healers should not spam spells but instead wait for big heals. I do not know what it the term is called but you get faster mp5 if you waited a certain amount of time after casting. I was wondering if that effect still exist in Cata. As of right now I assume that it does exist and will continue to wait for heals instead of just spamming it when not needed.
Hope you guys understand what I am trying to say! laughing out loud.

Paladins used MP5 stat in WotLK so the five second rule didn't apply.
In other words, that wasn't the case in WotLK and isn't the case in Cata (5sr was removed)

Oh man, can you imagine telling your raid leader that, as a holy paladin, you stopped casting for six full seconds in heroic ICC because 'you wanted to regenerate more mana'?

The raid would be dead before the 6 seconds was up.

You ran out of mana in 5 mans?

What you are talking about is the 5 seconds rule. If you stopped casting for 5seconds you would begin to regen using your out of combat mp5. This used to be big in BC for droods and priests but not so for paladins. Cata has done away with that. So don't worry about that.
