Ugh blanket assumption is the motha ov awl fups.
Anywho, you'll basically find that stam or agi is decent to stack pre heroics where stam DOES trump agi.
Other way around :P
Agi > Stam until you get to heroic raids and even then only on a few of them.

Err, that IS what Yuna said. :s
Anyhoo my 2 cents is Agi and Stam are both good, I favour agi, but stam is safer.
If you're pugging/LFD tool then prioritise stam. Going with guild or trusted healer? Then punt for agi where possible.
Then go with the one that makes you feel happiest and most secure.

If I recall right, Agi gives dodge and that's why it's valuable. But dodge is not going to help even slightly on any fight where there is more than a certain ammount of magic damage. Because they are unique equiped, you can have both and swap them out depending on the fight if you really want to. But the stam one is better imo.

To answer OP, I'd make both, gem with a agi/stam purple gem, and swap them in/out depending on how I felt.
This. I also have a stam trinket and agi trinket which I swap around depending on the fight. A bit sad really that my stam trinket is a shiny purple, while I tend to use the agi trinket more :p

Draco you don't play feral iirc, so /shoo back to the lock forums with you :p
First you say it depends on the fight, and then you say the stam one is better. EJ disagrees with you (for most fights anyways)

The highest amount of magic damage is currently on Nefarian, and i am merrily progressing it with 165k hp and full agility gems. I do not see the point of more stamina when i do not die to fast gibs from magical damage. Even on Nefarian, the majority of the damage you take is physical. Agility does not only increase dodge, but also makes your Savage Defense proc more often, and makes it more powerful. It makes you reduce more damage in all the possible ways a Bear can reduce damage. Therefore, it is the best stat to stack, provided that your health pool is sufficiently large. The biggest problem is that many people overestimate stamina absurdly, and think that they require the high HP to survive the damage, and are
afraid
to go for stats that would
reduce
that damage.
On behalf of those trinkets though, i think both
Tia's Grace
and
Left Eye of Rajh
are better than
Quicksilver Alchemist Stone
.
