You can follow the advice at EJ's for Demo. Your Prime Glyphs should be: Meta, Immolate & Lash of Pain (for Succubus). And then I use Meta, Immolate and Incinerate when I have the Felguard out. I'm not sure they advised what the 3rd glyph should be for when you have the FG out. They did say to use him in AoE situations.
For fights like this (and Maloriak, e.g.) I use the FG on the 1st phase(s) when the Adds are out and then I summon (Soulburn) the Succubus for the burn phase. Although I used the Succubus entirely on the Cho'gall fight on Sunday night and I did very well on DPS.
As for the adds vs. Cho'gall, you are correct; you won't be using Hellfire. You'll be doing Hand of Gul'dan, Felstorm (if your FG is out) and then Rain of Fire. Be sure to keep away from the adds to avoid corruption.
Also, when the off tank is kiting the 1st Add to the back of the room, you can dot-up the add, but then be sure to turn to the boss and refresh dots on him as well, then resume doting and nuking the add. After the primary Add is down you may have a few seconds to resume some DPS on the boss, but then be mindful to have your toon ready to target the oozes once they spawn.
Otherwise Demo is very doable in this fight. Very nice too for the final phase when you'll be Decimating the boss the entire time (and his adds) as he's < 25% health.

You can do a lot of damage to the adds in p1 as demo, i played demo in our first trys on chogall and was doing the most dps on the adds all the time.
Yes, you can hellfire them, even with the range nerf. just be careful and start running/jumping (goblin and/or meta jump) from them, if you get aggro. Normally they are slowed, so it was really easy to avoid them.
But in the kill try i used destro, Shadowfury is too good on the adds in p2. you can interrupt sometimes 2-3 of them, which helped a lot.
I like to use Infernal in the burn phase as well, for the interrupt, and the damage is more needed there.

Are you a 10m or 25m? I run destro and you can shadowfury to slow, and if you have a hunter they can use their frost traps. Should be enough slows to get em down.
Just to avoid confusion, shadowfury is not a slow but a stun. But I guess you meant that it slows them down.
An ele shammy for Thunderstorm or a boomkin for Typhoon is also very handy.
Other than that I can't help I'm afraid. Just killed him last night myself on my druid main. Although if you're doing it on 10m, I've got 1 tip for you in P2: ask your tank to pull chogall towards the middle for P1, then when P2 is imminent the tank should drag him over to the top of the throne. It'll make all the adds spawn in the throne, close to each other. Which means easier aoeing them down :)

Sorry, I forgot to mention we were in a 10 man raid. We had a Shadow Priest, Hunter, and Fire Mage as our ranged AoE DPSers. And that worked out nicely with the traps for slowing them down.
And yes, this is a fight where everyone has got to be right on top of removing the MC'd toons. If one of your AoEers is MC'd for too long it can rain havoc (hee, hee) on the raid.
Phase One for Affliction:
Didn't try this with my off-spec Affliction but when the 1st add spawns would be a nice time to Soul Swap from the boss to the add (Hopefully you have the Glyph). I'd imagine you'd Soulburn your Seed of Corruption (may want to make sure you have a Soul Shard saved for the last - 4th wave - of the adds. As that's when there are quite a few of them). And then spam SoC from there on out.
Burn phase for Affliction:
I believe you'd do well on this phase with the extra oomph you get with all dots on the boss and Drain Soul. You have all the dots up on the boss and then Drain Soul, when the Adds spawn you can Soul Swap to one of them and that add should go down on your dots alone (they have 160k I believe on 10 man). It gets really messy and hectic in the final phase. Make sure you don't have a lot of corruption debuffs from the boss (>50) during this phase.

We do have an ele shammy, and I found that it wasn't so effective for us because the pushback would scatter them and then there was no focused aoe spot to do good damage in that timeframe.
Well, in P1 everyone should be in a tight group (pretty much stacked), except for when he summons a big add (since that add throws a projectile at a random raid member). When the add is dead, stack up again and ranged nuke down the adds. Thunderstorm shouldn't really scatter the blood adds then. But I did the fight as melee, so I can't say that with 100% certainty.
