Pyroblast! refusing to cast while moving

Pyroblast! (the instant-cast version of the regular ol' Pyroblast spell that procs with Hot Streak) is supposedly an instant, yet despite it not having a cast-time/bar, I still have to be standing still to fire it off. This isn't a huge issue in PvE, but in PvP the time it takes to stop moving can make or break a duel. Anyone else having the same issue?

I cast Pyroblast! all the time while moving. Are you using a macro?

He must be using a macro or it would cast. If you are using a macro you must include the "!"
/cast Pyroblast! will fix your problems.
This is correct.
/cast Pyroblast
Not equal to
/cast Pyroblast!

No, I've had this problem before. It just randomly doesn't let you cast it while moving. Even if you aren't using a macro. I dunno what happened, but it fixed itself for me..

hmm, well, i AM using a mouseover macro for pyroblast, which might explain the issue...is there a way to alter my code such that pyroblast changes to pyroblast! when Hot Streak procs (like it would normally without a macro)?
for example:
/cast Pyroblast!; Pyroblast
This would be helpful, if for no other reason than it saves me the trouble of binding a seperate hotkey.

/cast Pryoblast

You can put the regular pyroblast on your hotbar somewhere (even on a non-visable bar) and use a macro like this:
#showtooltip Pyroblast
/target
/click ActionButton#
/targetlasttarget
To get the action button #, use:
/script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage( GetMouseFocus():GetName() );

/cast Pyroblast!
/cast Pryoblasttrouble is I already use Shift-(3 through 7), along with ctrl- and alt-, as well as mousewheel click, mousewheel up and down, shift-mousewheel-up, etc. for seperate spells, so I'd rather not have pyroblast take up two slots on my UI.
You can put the regular pyroblast on your hotbar somewhere (even on a non-visable bar) and use a macro like this:
#showtooltip Pyroblast
/target
/click ActionButton#
/targetlasttarget
To get the action button #, use:
/script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage( GetMouseFocus():GetName() );this sounds like a reasonable solution, I'll try it out when I get back from work.
In any event, I've discovered that the problem was indeed that I had pyroblast macro'd: when I just used the original spell on my hotbar it worked as intended, no need to stop moving.
TY everyone for you assistance and suggestions.

I had a similar problem with instant cast Soul Fire on my Warlock.
I fixed it by simply adding a "!" in front of the spell, "/cast !Soul Fire".
No idea why it bugged out but that solved the problem and it's really easy. Maybe it works for Pyroblast, too:
/cast !Pyroblast!
Looks funny :D

Could you be using an old PS/2 keyboard that doesn't allow you to press more than 2 or 3 keys at the same time? You might find it happening when running diagonally when you are required to press two directional buttons at the same time. I had this problem on an old computer when playing WoW.

The term you are looking for is called ghosting, and in order to press multiple keys is defined as "anti-ghosting".
