People always say we will make technology so well it will be able to learn and think for itself, and then one day your toaster will be trying to burn your hand like this unlucky person.

I highly doubt it. All a computer can do is take raw data, and spit something out in response, whereas I see a further dimension in humans that transcends the raw data and grasps reality not as arbitrary pieces of data, but as an essential and coherent whole.

Yes, and then we'll have to live in a place called Zino because zion was copyrighted .
Also, probably not.

All depends; if something like Skynet ever comes into existence, and has the same brilliant line of thought that It did which was 'I was created to protect Humanity....and Humanity's biggest threat is Humanity, so to protect Humanity, I must destroy Humanity except for that small group who will keep Me running, so remember to capture humans for breeding purposes'.
In other words, if we ever end up with free thinking AI, and they have access to weapons and shielding from EMP, we might be a little screwed.

Depends on what you mean by take over.
If we can put our consciousnesses into prosthetic bodies a la Ghost in the Shell, then mechanical humans may become dominant.
Could artificial intelligences exterminate humanity? Perhaps, I hope not. If we did create artificial intelligences, I would hope that we could instill a sense of empathy and benevolence into them.

We all know the next big step in AI is going to be War Bots.....

Or just install a clause stopping them from attacking humans?

We all know the next big step in AI is going to be War Bots.....Perhaps, but with the direction the world has been headed in the last century, I think they'll mainly be for deterrent effect at this point.
And there's a lot of room for civilian AIs.
And I don't think even a military AI would be programmed with any sort of malevolence.
