in before Troll Druid.
... Troll Shaman.
Sorry, on topic.
I've never liked Paladins, so go Warrior.. they're fun. Fury is a blast once you get the tree filled in (TITAN GRIP!), and Prot is a beast for leveling (both in dungeons and outside of them).

On topic:
I heard from a friend, in order to be good with warriors, you gotta make tons of macros. Is this true?
Well, you don't HAVE to, but I think most end up doing it... I know I am macro heavy on my warrior, but to be honest, I'm macro heavy on most melee classes.
You'll really have to get good at stance dancing if you're going to do any PvP, but outside of that its not a big problem... as Prot, you've got Warbringer for in-combat charge, and nothing else is really useful outside of Defensive stance (I think).
I use a lot of dual spec type macros, mainly because I find it annoying when I press a button while out of range and it doesn't turn on auto attack.
#showtooltip
/cast Bloodthirst; Shield Slam;
/startattack
#showtooltip
/cast Raging Blow; Devastate
/startattack
all-in-one "oh ^&*!" button macro... useful to save on space.
#showtooltip
/cast Retaliation; Shield Wall; Recklessness
a nice macro to only thunderclap when you've got a target who you can hurt (I used to hate tapping the button on accident)
#showtooltip Thunder Clap
/cast Thunder Clap
/startattack
My Fury charge macro... makes it a little less annoying to go from battle > charge > berserker > intercept if its all in 1 button. Also takes you back to battle when you're out of combat!
#showtooltip
/cast Berserker Stance; Intercept; Charge(Battle Stance); Battle Stance
note: as I'll usually be found to say: these macros may not be perfect... I just know they work for me.
