does the 5% dmg reduction stack? was just having a converstion with a co-worker and I can't test it at the moment. He was going on about Elemental shaman being range tanks with
+
+
or the possibility of an enhance shaman DW
for double the reduction?
If my math is right, would that make +
= 26% magic reduction for enhance
or
If my math is right, would that make (5*0.4) +
+
= 29% magic reduction for elemental with 15% boost in healing taken
The build he was talking about...
yes I know our days of tanking scholo and UBRS are gone, but was having a nice thought experiment on Monday to make it pass by quicker...

Damage-reduction talents like Shamanistic Rage are probably multiplicative. So... Sham-Rage does a % reduction of the damage which gets past Rockbiter, or vice-versa. (The result is the same, either way)
I'm also assuming that threat-generation stacks with dual-rockbiter too.
And I don't know... "forcing" an enemy to attack you means you are going to be landing a certain number of hits on the beast with Rockbiter active, and don't have to chase it around as much. But yes, it'd be nice if Unleash Earth were to be a big threat-generator, allowing us to off-tank better.

I'm thinking once we get into higher teirs of armor we could tank instances in a pinch. My shaman wasn't even in that great gear and me and a disc priest were able to 2 man the first 2 bosses in PoS and the entire FoS on normal, and Garfrost on heroic in wrath even before 4.0.1 hit.
