IVe just hit 70 and am queating in northrend, I was wondering for BGs is it worth it to purchase pvp gear with honr points? Or should I try and endure bgs in wotlk pve gear? Would I ne at a huge disadvatage with proper pvp gear? Thanks for any advice.

I shelled it all out and purchased all the PvP gear I could fit. I find it to be worth it, not sure about you, but I'm on a PvP server. Those one on one fights you end up having while on your grind to 85 go from "This guy doesn't know what he is doing..." too "LOLOMFGDID IONESHOT HIM? LET ME TRY THIS AGAIN IT WENT TO FAST."
Cons? Keep your level 69 gear handy. My repair bills went from roughly 5ish silver per percent to 75-80 silver per percent. In WotLK quests and the quest rewards you end up selling will more than cover this, if you decide to do something that is in the level 68 or below range swap to the old gear.
Like how I spent 400 gold on repairs because I decided to rep grind Sporeggar to exalted.
That's the only disadvantage I've seen and it's really not bad with how much I make on quests anyway.
I'm a blood death knight, I two hit mobs , needing a third hit is rare. My tanking has dropped because I changed my spec around to have better utility in a BG. I soloed some level 76 elite on accident.
It's also nice to have a complete looking set of items for more than a few hours. I doubt I'll be replacing this until I hit 78 range.
