Cyclone/roots bug or paladin spell reflect?

My partner and i were playing in 2's arena against a paladin and a dk. Me being a resto druid and my partner a fury warrior.
Every once in a while when i try and cyclone one of the enemy, my partner or i would get cycloned, as if one of them had spell reflect up. WTF? This happened several times in the match. At least 4 times. After killing the DK, i tried rooting the paladin and my partner got rooted? This happened twice. What is going on? Is this a bug or some ability that i was added in cataclysm that i am completely unaware of... i have a 85 pally and an 85 dk... and am not aware of anything like this.
Thanks

Well DKs have a spell reflect in
Dark Simulacrum
, but it would only affect you. But paladins? Nope. Anyway, I don't think there's any spells where if A casts it, B reflects and C gets affected.
No, if you read the spell tooltip, it says that if you use the spell, and your target spends mana on a spell, you can use an exact duplicate of the spell. It's not instant either, so the DK could have put it on them, and then used it against their partner.
But it seems like it would have affected them anyways...

As you said you killed the DK, the only other plausible reason is because of
Destructive Skyflare Diamond
or another meta or item with similar effects.
