Rotation macros are bad, m'kay? Chaining IC's with no GCD is smart, castsequence rotations are bad.

Actually... no Rotation macro are NOT bad. Trying to fit the whole rotation into a single macro IS bad but if you have an oft repeated section of it that never changes OR a complicated sequence that has no variation throughout, macros are the perfect solution. That was the original intent of macros for years and years before gaming.
Btw it appears to be a opener macro. There is nothing wrong with an opener macro... It falls under the "complicated sequence with no variation throughout" category... I mean look at it, it leads with pounce... not somethign you use MID rotation.
Come on guys you are better then this...

Well, I'll just explain how castsequence macros work then, and you can see how you want to make use of it yourself. In a macro the command /castsequence allows you to chain multiple abilities. Each time you press the button it will cast the next ability in line, if you are able to.
A castsequence macro looks like this:
/castsequence reset=
x
ability 1, ability 2, ability 3, etc.
Where
x
is replaced with one or mulitiple (seperated by commas) of:
a number, i.e.
1
,
25
or
360
- resets after the number of seconds since you last clicked the macro;
target
- resets if you change target;
combat
- resets if you enter or exit combat;
a modifier key:
shift
,
ctrl
or
alt
- resets if the key is pressed.
If you only want the macro to reset when you're done casting every ability in line (I can't imagine you do, but OK) you can also leave out the reset part.
If this isn't working for you you may not have copied the names of some abilities correctly. This mostly happens with abilities that have both bear and cat equivalents such as mangle and feral charge. Copy the name from the spell book (shift-click) if you want to be sure to get it right.

the problem with castsequence macros is it doesn't take into account missed and dodged attacks. And since ferals don't really stack hit or exp ... yeah I'm gonna recommend NOT to use macros.

Well it's great for you to recommend it but why not help the guy out at the same time?
Beside's he's talking about their use in leveling not raiding. If you mess up it's not the end of the world, lol.
PvP wise cast sequence can be used to great effect because you DO hit cap :P

Well I thought by telling him not to use macros, I helped him out :p
Yes you hit cap in PvP, but I still don't think castsequence macros are good for that either, since you need to be able to ajust on the fly. I dunno, maybe I just suck at castsequence xD
I don't see the OP's reasoning for wanting a castsequence macro. How does it make it easier exactly? We don't really have 10+ buttons to press while leveling ...
Anyways, Kciroj explained it quite nicely.

My teammate uses an opener macro to great effect in arena with us. Yes I have a feral arena teammate! :P

Well, actually, if an ability in a cast sequence fails to go off, it won't advance the sequence.

And, if I remember correctly, it also doesn't reset the macro... leaving you with a button that does nothing until it does reset (and the more you press it in dismay, the longer it will take).

As pelf has mentioned a miss does not actually advance a macro. For arena I'm playing a holy pally now to counter as many of the issue you DO see as a feral in arena... Not once has his macro caused a problem. It's short, sweet and allows him to smack an opener he knows will work while being more situationaly aware of where I am and what is happening. So your comments miss their mark there :P TF is NOT in his macro btw.
On a side note a macro set to reset on a mod-key press does NOT actually reset it. You must hold it down and then press the castsequence macro button to actually reset it. Go play around with it it's fun to mess with.
Further notes once a castsequence macro is started, if you abandon the macro midway through pressing the next skill in the sequence will advance the macro.
Fun Stuff.

Getting stuck would depend on what it got stuck on. Having Ravage! in the list would be bad for obvious reasons.

But not terribly if it was an opener macro which I'm fairly sure is the only time you will really see that. Tell it to reset on target swap or after a specific period.
