Questing.

I'm pretty sure dungeoning gives more XP unless your BG team wins.
Although questing is faster than straight dungeoning.

At lower levels (before 30ish), dungeons will be faster (assuming your group doesn't suck).
After that, quests will be more
enjoyable
, because there will be less monotony.
BGs are an excellent source of XP if it's either Call to Arms, or you're at level 45+ (where you can start queueing Random BGs). What I would do is to alternate between dungeons and BGs; but if I won a BG round, I will queue for BG again until I lose (because if the random BG group is good enough to win once, they can probably win again)

I actually thought that Redridge (assuming the OP is Alliance) was an amazing and not at all monotonous zone.

Is that the one with the Commando group quests?
Anyway, the new Cata quests
are
interesting, but if OP's focus is to level as fast as possible, dungeoneering until at least level 30 is the way to go.

Yeah it is.

I remember a Blue saying Call to Arms didn't affect xp gains, only Honor. This was when they first implemented BG leveling so I can't find the post, can anyone confirm this?

Well, I know for a fact that CtA wins could give me 30-50% of my level, at the very least, which is FAR above what I get even through the random bg queue.

I'd provide an opinion, except that it's almost impossible to find a random dungeon group after L25-30 or so, and equally difficult to get a BG. I recall a tank/healer who invited me to a group to finish a killing quest faster, asking me (on disc priest alt) if I'd be willing to queue as DPS for random dungeon, because they'd been sitting in queue for the last half hour without luck.
I'm quite happy questing and checking out all the changes to the zones, personally.

I find this puzzling.
As DPS, my queues throughout all levels rarely goes for more than 15 minutes, even on off-peak hours. BGs are a bit more hit-and-miss, but I would dare say that it's a rarity if I have to wait for 30 minutes or more.
The Venture Co. - US here, btw.

I'm from Australia, meaning that my playtimes don't match up with the US-centric battlegroups. Not that puzzling, just a fact of my life.

Lol and I'm from Malaysia. When I play, it's usually 3am server time.
Meh, maybe it's an extended run of bad (or in my case, good) luck.

You think questing is less monotony then dungeons? WOW, there are about ten quests in the whole game, they just add a new skin in each zone. Instead of zebra hooves and cow horns it is ZEFRA toe nails and Bovine antlers...
As s restro shaman you will get groups instantly, so do some quests, do a dngeon run or two, sell everything at the vender, rinse repeat.

I would say Questing and going in Dungeons.
If you don't want to get bored, you have to
mix quests and dungeons.
The "bored" factor is very important to consider !
