I usually tank Onyxia while fighting Nefarian and then pick up the adds in Phase three, but I am getting destroyed. The healers say the DK is taking far less damage. My gear is good, but I fear my reforging and gems are bad. I need a little advice. Thanks.

Your reforging is entirely backwards. Don't reforge avoidance INTO threat, reforge OUT of threat INTO avoidance.
Other than that, if the adds in p3 are blowing you up it may be a kiting problem, which could be the fault of a lot of people in the raid, including yours. It's impossible for us to tell how well the kiting is going and who (if anyone) is making the mistakes in that phase.

Your enchants look fine.
Your gemming is ok = try and match for every socket tho. Tanks don't want to be giving up free stat points. ALL socket bonuses are useful.
Your reforging is O.o !
Honestly you don't need to have all that hit, reforge it back off to avoidance and mastery. Your avoidance stats have basically the same DR now, so you want to keep them as close together as you can. Dodge and Parry should always been with in 0.5%
Expertise is even less desirable than hit at this point.
I have been lazy in the past, but now that I actually have been getting some higher ilevel gear, I just recently reforged my entire set. Check my armory ^_^

Hat

So back off on the hit and expertise?

isn't there a 102% avoidance threshold and am I close?

No, your not close to it, you won't be for a long time either, the stat points aren't there.
Also, like pezz said, tanking those adds in P3 is more about kiting and moving than just strait tanking them. The goal is to keep them on you just long enough for them to not be in fire, and die to reset all their power.

Hat
