Hello Fellow Priests
So to begin with i usually play in shadow and i love using mind control.Seeing as how useful CC is in cataclysm heroics im having duble the fun.I use my Mind Amplification Dish (The engeneer enchant) whenever its off cd.So most of my group members see me walking around with a pet (the mced mob) and they ask me ''Hey,how do you move simultaniously with that MCed mob" i tell them its my engeneer enchant and they always say ''Damn, thats too bad it would be so fitting for a Priest to have some kind of spell that charms the mob into being your pet (similar to a hunter's tame beast but not charm them forever just for a couple of seconds)''.I now you would say we already have that its the engeneering enchant, but no i am thinking of something that is available only to a Priest. And here is with what i came up:There should be a glyph or a tallent that gives Mind Control a 40% chance to make the charmed mob your pet meaning not you controling it directly but simply puting it under your control similar to Lock's Enslave Demon.I personally think this is a really good idea since Locks have Enslave demons. Not that i play shaman but to me it sounds as a good idea for a shaman to also have something like ''Charm Elemental'' but thats another topic. So what im asking of you guys is to share your opinions on this idea.

An interesting idea, but there's a question of balance and so forth. Consider a mob like the Naz'jar Tempest Witch in ToT, who is capable of doing massive DPS while mind controlled. If MC were a mere charm effect, priests would be capable of improportional dps on trash based fights. Essientially MC would become an overpowered button and a CC in addition....it's just not logical.
It would indeed be quite fun, and there are things they could use (longer CD on MC, dmg debuff while charming, etc), but it's the kind of class design goals that just aren't in the cards atm.

Yes i see what you mean. When i control the tempest wich my dps sometimes reaches 16k.But thats no problem if a glyph of tallent like this is ever made it could reduce the damage of the mind controlled NPC by (?)% adn as you said there could be a CD.But,class desighn goals? What could that mean?

Aa glyph to do that in PvE is indeed an interesting idea, because for PvP, the fact that you control your opponent's position is a serious strength to the spell.

I remember back in the day when Hunters would use that trinket and then eyes of the beast to force a mob to jump to it's death.
But it has been a long time since i played a hunter and i dont know if that hotfixed that.
Eyes of the beast no longer exists. So, you could call it fixed I suppose.
