For beginner arena, is 4 piece bloodthirsty and pvp rings/trinks enough to have some success in the low bracket? Essentially i want to start getting conquest points , but dont want to constantly get steamrolled, and dont want to farm honor so much that i have bloodthirsty in every slot. My question to you is, why wait for 4 piece bloodthirsty? I leveled an alt recently with my friend and we jumped straight into arena. There's literally no benefit to waiting, every week you don't do arena you're missing out on thousands of Conquest Points and valuable valuable practice. The answer is even if your characters are butt naked, you should be doing arena anyways.
Second - how do you figure out what class compliments other classes? I have a DK guildie who wants to 2v2 with me. Is HPal + Frost DK a viable combo for 2v2 bottom bracket?Works fine, DK/Healer is always strong.
Third - do you guys have any suggestions of add ons? Maybe not everything you use , but what are your 2 favorite ones, or the one you just cant live without? Ive never been one for a ton of addons (Healbot for PvE is all) but after watching a lot of arena junkie streams - i do see that some may be necessary.Gladius is probably the most popular arena addon. Other than that, as a healer you might be interested in downloading InterruptBar. It makes it easy for even Ray Charles to tell when enemy interrupts are up.
Finally - what tips would you guys have for arena or successful pvp in general. I do a ton of regular BG's and am typically fairly successful. But for example "Never be in a rush to use your trinket, and always have _____ potion" etc. ... the things that may tip the scale in your favor during a given match. Practice practice practice. As far as CDs go, arenas aren't like duels, no one is going to congratulate you for winning without using any CDs. Blow them fast, use them wisely, and crush the other team before they even know what hit them.
As for when you're on the defense, thinking like "I need to save CDs" are thoughts that will end up with either you or your partner dead.
Just do arena, find out what your weaknesses are and work on it. Practice.
