hello wowhead
i recently started gearing my alt druid for tanking and i have decent gear now
there is one problem though, i am taking way to much damage and i dont have a clue why
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/frostmane/nomah/simple
there is the armory link
i am using demo shout and try to get infected wounds on as many as possible targets but it wont help
(and ofcourse try to keep all the other stuff going as well, the EJ way)
did i miss some huge point as bear or should i just deal with the damage and hope for a good CC group?

Gem for agility, especially in red sockets, but no socket bonus you have (aside from your helm) is worth losing 40 agility over. That's the biggest thing I can see.
I can tank just fine with zero gems, stamina stacked gems, hell i could tank in my resto gear.
Agility gemming wont solve any of his problems.
If you for some reason take a lot of damage:
pull less (utilise cc)
dont stand in $%^&, pull enemies out of their empowering @#$%
use your cooldowns in a creative way (barkskin 1min cd, survival instincts 3 min cd, frenzied regen 3 min cd)
interrupt
make sure you hit stuff with things so you maximise your absorb shield uptime - keep 3 stack pulverise up for increased crit chance. Mangle on cd. Poping berserk increases you shield uptime as well
use demo shout, once you got threat on all
If all above fails, change healer.
I dont get it. You got far more epics athan i do, and nobody cries i take too much damage. In fact all they cry about is my dps ("its too high").
PS: Having bear glyphs should help a bit. Also feral aggresion is pure kitty talent. KotJ far better choice.

Hell, I could tank with my resto glyphs!
c wut I did thar?
Jokes aside, Feral Aggression is NOT a pure kitty talent. Mandatory? No. Convenience talent? Yep.
The point in Stampede is far worse. Haste is le sucks for bears. But putting one point in KotJ is kind of lame, so I personally dropped a point in Endless Carnage to get a second point in KotJ (I Pulverize as soon as I have 3 stacks of Lacerate anyways, regardless of the Pulverize buff). Or you could drop Stampede and Feral Aggression, lose the convenience and get 3/3 KotJ. Your choice.
And yeah change your glyphs, even though you have the most important ones already (Mangle and Maul). I would suggest replacing the Feral Charge glyph with Frenzied Regen. As to prime glyphs, replace Shred and Rip with Berserk and Lacerate. Even though those glyphs do very little tbh (I usually keep the Rip glyph in place instead of the Lacerate one because I switch to kitty when stuff isn't hitting me).
Edit: btw, it's demo roar, not shout. We ain't warriors brah!

thanks for the responses,
on gemming should i go pure agi gems? ie:
red/prismatic - agi
blue - agi/stam (if bonus worth it, if not pure agi)
yellow - agi/dodge (2 times for the meta)
changed my glyphs around, although they are only threat it might help abit (only using Frenzied while raiding, looking at healers dieing on Harvest in Deadmines)
on feral aggression vs KotJ,
i think FA wins since i can get 3 stacks of FFF on pull = more dmg done with everything after that,
as for KotJ, i try not to run in with enrage active (since my whole problem is taking to much damage) rendering the talent worthless.
(i use a macro for it
/cancelaura Enrage
/cast Enrage)
might switch the talents when i feel my damage input is fine

Pop barkskin at the same time. I even got a macro that uses both barkskin and Enrage while I charge in.
Thorns is also nice before the pull btw.

incedently
Left Eye of Rajh
works out better than
Tia's Grace
for tanking afaik (though either would be fine in truth)
The proc equals about the same AGI, it has high (50%) chance on crit (and we do crit a lot), but i still prefer statc AGI.
The person who started the post got ~the same ilvl of gear , the 427 stamina trinket i would replace it with tia grace hc , i find better the 340 agil and 285 mastery then the health pool.
I would replace too the problem is Tias grace doesnt drop.
