I'm a bit saddened that you chose to mock me for doing what I'm here to do - it seems a bit counter-productive, as the reason I'm here, is to make the forum a better place for everyone. I'm willing to ignore the blatant insults, if you could try to see the logic in why your threads was locked in the first place, and why the forums would be hell if we weren't. I'm not out to get anyone. I'm not biased against specific people - and if I do, it should affect how I moderate their posts or otherwise. I chose to be here to make a difference, not as an excuse to be a power-hungry sadistic bastard. ;)
Wowhead has a set of
Forum Rules, that perhaps could be easier to notice (like when you accept the Terms of Use when patching WoW, just a lot shorter and easier to read in one go) instead of only a topic on the forums. These rules are particularly strict when it comes to the Guild Recruitment forum (as
written in the specific rules stickied in said forum), as we want it to be an easy-to-use way of recruitment, as well as being consistent.
In regards to your two threads, things like that - sadly - happen often, but I only recall moderating one of them, as I usually try to describe why I performed an action, to let the user in question know what went wrong, and how that can be improved in the future - unless it's painfully obvious. In this case, the thread in WoW General was - while quite obvious - probably a bit too swiftly handled, and could've used a minor comment stating something like "Please use the forum described below for Guild Recruitment threads. Be sure to use the template.". If that was my action there, then I'm sorry for that.
Regardless, I hope that you take some time to read through the mentioned rules above, relax a bit on the insults, and take another attempt at a post in the Guild Recruitment. The template is quite easy to go to, and we moderators usually try to correct minor mistakes, instead of simply shutting down threads, if we can do it without much effort.
On top of that, I feel I should also add in that I'm moderating here voluntarily. The only real thing I get for it, is what you - the users - say, and generally feel from being on the forum. Because of that, threads like this does - sadly - affect my mood a bit. Sentient wildebeest is sentient.

do you really think this is a "discussion"?
this is the kind of ad hominem that Cambo is
talking about. it's the venting of childish frustration at not getting their own way and an example of an occasion on which i agree with Cambo that it ought not be tolerated and certainly shouldn't be taken seriously enough to effect the mood of a hard-working gnu ^_^
i understand that you just asked us not to post and then i did... apologies for the blatant disobedience.
