Meh, I'll bite.
I make my money in 3 ways:
Everything is worth something in this game. This is why the game has the color classifications on items. If it is grey, then the choice is easy. Sell it to your closest vendor and move one. There is one exception to this rule which are vanity items. Sometimes you might just find something that is funny or unique that some people will want to buy. Hold on to it, send it to a bank alt. If the Item is white, it can be used somewhere. Make a banker alt and send any item like this to them, later in the week, or during the weekend you can sift through all the mail and do what needs to be done. AH whites that are use for crafting, get a dis enchanter to break down your greens for you. Use a miner or a blacksmith to craft gear if you have raw mats.
If you are questing and leveling, you should have 2 gathering professions. Gathering professions make the most money while traveling or exploring the world. Once you have a baseline for some wealth and are ready to raid, you need to look into end game professions. this includes JC, BS, LW and enchanting. Pick up one at a time, and level them with your other gathering profession. When you leveling, you should not be vendoring these greens, low level greens means low level mats that are need for anyone leveling up enchanting, they will sell for more as such. Once you have your professions to make level, link in trade during you off time. If you see someone looking for a person to craft a item, take the time to be that person. Not only will you get the tip, but you might just be added to their list for future crafting.
Questing, doing 5 man's and raiding, MAKES GOLD! the only time you will lose money in in a raid is when you are part of hardcore progression. The money that bosses drop is enough to pay for a couple wipes. 5 man's not only give 40-89 gold per random, but also give boss loot, greens, trash drops. It is very easy to increase your gold while you have fun, and learn to play you class better.
I have a slight
edge when it comes to 5 mans, but its profitably is not something to doubt.
Cheers,
Hat
