The question is perfectly clear, OP does not need to follow some arbitrary non-official forum guideline written by another member to be able to ask a question and get it answered. Get off your high-horse.
In response to op: A/A is pretty fight reliant. Some have mechanics that make it alot less useful, but it's still "pretty ok" for many of them :)

After seeing every dungeon, heroic dungeon, and normal-mode raid fight that this expansion currently has to offer, I can tell you that every encounter has at least 5-10 seconds here and there where you could be Smiting.
If you're raid healing, you'll notice that there are times when there is a lot of incoming damage to the raid, and times when it's mainly just the tank taking damage. When the raid is topped off, start Smiting. If you are familiar with the raid encounters then you should know when the raid damage is about to happen, at which point you can pop Archangel and start cycling Prayer of Healing across the groups. If you're a shield-spammer then don't bother picking up these talents, because Archangel doesn't affect the amount absorbed by your PW:S spell.
You'll want to keep Power Word: Shield on the tank if there's not already a disc priest taking care of him/her, mainly to keep your main source of mana regen (Rapture) on cooldown. Penance whoever is the lowest if you're not on tank-healing duty.
The
Glyph of Prayer of Healing adds a bit of extra heals but I would only recommend it if you're doing 25's, not so much in 10's. The reason for this is because the HoT that this glyph applies gets overwritten by itself (
not refreshed) if you cast PoH on the same group twice in a row, effectively wasting the first application of the HoT, making the glyph lackluster. In 25's you can cast a PoH on every group and by the time you get back to the first one again the HoT will have run its course and you'll have gotten 100% of its potential; in 10's you'd be overwriting your own HoT a lot of the time.
Another decent glyph to choose if you're on raid duty would be
Glyph of Power Word: Barrier. Once again, this glyph is most effective in a 25-player raid scenario because you'll have more people under the barrier, and more healers helping out. This glyph affects ALL heals under the barrier, not just yours. I switched to this glyph for our Nefarian attempts last night and it helped out a lot. The only problem is the 2 minute cooldown on Barrier...
TL;DR: Yes. Pick up Archangel and Atonement, but don't Smite unless you have time (people are topped off). Predict incoming damage, pop Archangel and start spamming PoH. If you're a shield-spammer, don't bother picking up these talents as they don't affect the strength of your PW:S.
