Ok so here we go, down the list- Hit enchant on bracer. You have enough hit on your gear naturally, you might even consider reforging some back off for more mastery and avoidance.
- Elemental slayer on weapon. Windwalking is the best, its also costs the same as a small luxury car. Keep the enchant and then look at getting a weapon chain or a windwalking on the mace from maloriak.
- +44 stamina to boots. Ya there is nothing better and while 50 stat points from hit is better than the 29.3 stat points from stamina, hit is not something you need to socket or enchant =/ so it goes back to being less valuable.
- Socket bonus on belt. Stats are stats are stats for tanks, you can reforge and change things around once you have them, but you should not be letting even 1 dodge escape you. Socket your belt to match that bonus.
- 50 mastery > 50 hit on gloves. Same rating much better value. go for it. 65 mastery is better than that, but then again, its another enchant that costs both arms and legs.
- I'm sorry your going to need to spend so much gold doing this, but you got to flip that reforging back. Mastery > dodge = parry = stamina > hit > expertise
Recap and what we are trying to accomplish here. Your going to want a good balance of stats. With focus on Mastery, dodge and parry staying about equal, and stamina mixed with all your sockets. This will give you a good level of avoidance and a nice health pool to buffer when needed. Hit is nice to have, there is no better threat stat while under 8% hit, that being said, the only time you will need threat is during the first 30-60 seconds of a fight. After you'll be miles ahead. that is the reasoning so many tanks drop the hit. I like a little hit, because i relay on my Avengers shield to hit in 5 mans, and i HATE when it misses. Expertise, like have said in other posts, your glyph for 10 will give you enough to hold threat comfortably, and there is no worries anymore about boss parries. reforge as much as you can off.
I went last night and in a fit of anger reforged my gear to give up dodge/parry and max hit, expertise because several guild members told me I need to.
Lets talk about this a little though. Did they give you any reasons why? Unless all of your friends play tanks, its rare for DPS to tell tanks what to do, unless there is a problem. A statement like this could come from trouble with threat. Are you having any problems in raids or 5 mans?

2. I'm a chanter with all but the Malestrom chants and I won't pay 15K + gold for them at the moment so that is NOT an option Doesn't really need to be an option, the state gains are minimal, use the 1 step lower ones (example: 50 mastery instead of 65 mastery)
5. The Raid leader has a Pally alt and he demanded I change my stats around to what is "correct" in his opinion. I'm making no personal judgements on your raid leader, but I will say this, to be a good raid leader you need to be confident in yourself, and to be a good tank, you need to take control of the situation at hand. This leads to blind spots and short sidedness. It also (and I have fallen victim to this many times) leads to a unwillingness to adapt to change and the changing times.
What you were doing is correct, and what he was telling you to do WAS correct, before cata =/ Stamina was our more than our friend for way too long. It was weight so much higher above any other stat, its hard to change that mentality
6. I had my master at 46% lLittle low, but as you said, you are in a lot of blues. So you do what you can
My understanding, while limited, of the Cata mechanics is NOT to stack stamina but to get the mastery, dodge/parry where it needs to be. Your understandings are correct.
I have been using buff foods for the Hit and an occasional Elixir if needed. Stats are stats no mater where you get them from. There are 2 levels of stats tho, Primary and secondary. Food buffs should match your reforging strategy. If you are reforging off hit, you should not be eating for hit. Elixirs can be a bit different.
Read up here for what the correct combinations should be.
I can promise you I have NOT had one bit of trouble with Threat except when doing COC with a friend who is fully raid geared kitty. And then only rarely. I could hold threat with 0% hit and 0 expertise. Sounds like you can do. So keep reforging it off. Leave you hit at whatever level you feel confident with. I don't like relaying on others in 5 man's and i often take a active interrupt roll in raids. This means that I need a little more hit for my avengers shield and rebuke not to miss. Even next patch when the rebuke change hits, I will still keep around a 3% hit to help me in 5 man's.
It's kind of difficult for me to stand up to my Raid leader when he is an officer and I am not. Also when two other officers have the same thinking he does on Paladin Stats etc I'm basically in a no-win situation. Questioning and debating your officers is NOT a sign of disrespect. You should direct them to this post if they fight you on this topic more. I am an officer in my guild, and you are gaining major points already for both READING and POSTING about your class.
And finally, trying to be as delicate as I can be, not all of the raid members have anywhere near the gear I have, and I consider my gear to be barely passable for raiding 10 mans. I think some of the issue is from those that look to place blame elsewhere........ This is an important point. Tanks need gear to help avoid damage, their numbers relay heavily on that. DPS need gear to put out more damage, BUT rotation skill and awarness makes up a bit part of damage too. Healers need gear to keep their mana regen where it needs to be, to keep their output where it needs to be, BUT i have seen healers in blues and green out heal healers in all purples simply because they can make better judgment calls and know how to heal better.
What does this mean for you situation. Stamina is a good buffer. Bigger health pools are easier to heal for bad healers. So do you give the bad healers extra stam so they can spam heals with out over-healing? Or do you go avoidance because you know they can stop cast and will track their hots?
Its up to you to find that balance. 50/50 avoidance and stam when socketing is a pretty good wait to try to find that in your situation.
GL mate, keep posting if you have more questions.

Hat
p.s. sorry for quote spam, it just seemed like the easiest way to answer things =/
