A mage/mage 2s team? Yikes.
That may be good now, but it'll go south for you guys fast at higher resil lvls, when people live long enough to get some heals.
Looking at your gear...
GET RID OF THE SPIRIT
and enchant stuff, if you think you'll have it for more than a week.
As for your talents, you'll want points in Reactive Barrier, as well as Burning Soul. Maybe Master of Elements, if you run out of mana quickly without Mage Armor up.

Mage mage teams are viable for a while, maybe not waaaay high up, but they're viable fairly high up, and are lots of fun. Me and a friend are fire/fire some games and fire/frost some other games. We hit 1704 recently (I know that's not high to all of the elitists here saying "1700's suck L2p noob.".)

Mage/mage works reasonably well up as high as 2k. There was even a Mage/Mage/Priest team before the mage nerfs in the Glad range on Bloodlust for awhile.
But sticking to 2s, you'll definitely want at least one frost mage. Frost gives a LOT of control and the ranged nova for the fire mage will prove to be incredibly invaluable. Not to mention what the taem can theoretically do during a DF with a Fire/Frost mage is just insane. Even against the highest resil targets, this team -can- drop basically anyone in a DF with the right set-up. And I mean from 100%-0 in a DF.
Focus on shatter management. Don't nova and IL down the nova just because you can. Use your lockouts and Polys. Use Glyph of Polymorph to allow better distribution of fire mage damage.
You'll want to time your damage. Don't wear at people, burst at them. With both mages running shatter, the potential is crazy for burst.
As far as healer goes, my guess is that you're having a problem with dispels. You'll need to spend a lot more time sheeping the healer, or only going for kills while the healer is in a DF, poly'd or silenced.
Obviously, your fire mage MUST be specced into shatter. You're hurting yourself if he isn't. Spam Ring of Frost. You should have three Rings of Frost in the first minute or two of arena and you should be using it. Same goes for images. Once both enemy players are immune to polys, having both mages drop images adds a TON of incoming damage to their team, not to mention that you'll have 8 things creating magic debuffs on their team. No dispels can keep up :P
Make sure the fire mage is keeping up critical mass for the frost mage. Dragon's Breath and Blast wave are amazing tools to prevent people from pillar humping and should be used. Remember, Dragon's Breathing a frost nova'd target rarely breaks the nova. Which turns a Nova>DB into a slightly weaker DF.
