What are your professions? If you are a tailor/enchanter, you'll never run out of cash; make Runecloth items, gotten from farming any and all high level humanoid mobs, then DE them and sell the mats on the AH.
If you are an other combo, study the AH, find out what the best things from your particular professions are, and farm/sell said items. There are also a few Vanilla Dailies you can be doing; the Fishing Cooking ones in SW/Org, the daily at the Gurubashi arena, for gold. And of course, keep using LFD; you get gold for each one you complete after all.

I have Mining and Blacksmithing and was thinking about crafting the Stormwind Guard set numerous times and sell it to RPlers, maybe that's worth doing.
No, that will not work. If you don't want to lose your professions, go mine stuff.

Try soloing low level dungeons for cloth mats. Stockades for wool...etc. These can be done multiple times and require little time to do. These can sell for decent gold on the AH to leveling tailors. Bonus greens drops can also be sold to leveling enchanters.
Since your not leveling past classic at the moment, spend some time farming for this in Stranglethorn.
Parrot Cage (Hyacinth Macaw)
, you might get lucky. I did :) I've seen as many as 5 at one time on my AH so the drop rates has increased just a bit and they can sell for 5000+ gold. It's possible to still fetch a price above 10000+, depends on your server.

Hey guys,
I'm currently playing classic only and having problems getting gold for enchantments etc..
Farming ores doesn't do the trick. Since anyone can fly now, the prices are at an alltime low.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Really? That's kinda odd. Materials are still pretty high.
Did you perhaps try skinning? Leather is often in high demand for prospective Leatherworkers.

If the mining mats on your server are low then drop mining and pick up either skinning or herbalism whichever is selling better on your server. On my server herbalism mats even at mid level can sell for hundreds of gold. And this way you can still just purchase your BS mats.

Farm Stockades for Wool, on my realm Wool goes between 30-50g a stack.

Make dense grinding stones the day of the Darkmoon Faire as they're required for hand ins, and anyone trying to get rep with them will probably buy them up. On my server a stack of 20 dense stone are typically 2g a stack, the grinding stones can be almost 10 times that when the faire is in town.
