Of course. The Bulldogs were running first after round 3 last year, and look how their season ended up...

It's nice and sunny in Brisbane!

I'm not sure you should have preceded that sentence with a LOL... Brisbane had a super wet January (the wettest ever, even wetter than last year with the floods) but February was mostly dry and as of now it hasn't rained for a week.
I find it funny how quickly a climate can change. The Gold Coast has less than 65 days of rain per year (they sell it as 300 days of sunshine, so I'm sure some of the remaining 65 days are something other than rain). Byron Bay, which is only 45 minutes down the road, has 155 days of rain per year.

Heh, I reckon we should just admit it and rename this 'The Australian Thread'.
Our dam overflowed last night, which is pretty amazing, considering it was around the 30% mark just a few years back. I keep forgetting that the Brisbane floods were over a year ago. Still seems so recent.
On a side note, Perth was a beautiful sunny 34 when I was there earlier this week.

Never been to Perth, but every time I check my weather app, it's 30-35° and sunny. Combined with the great beaches and slower pace, it makes me want to go there.

It falls asleep after 5pm. Nothing open in the city - no bars, shops, even dining is scarce.

You're comparing to Sydney though. Sydney might not be the world's biggest city (not even in the top 50) but it is probably one of the busiest.

I'm comparing it to other major cities. Melbourne seems quiet, but if you know which alleys to go, it's pretty busy as well.
Put it this way - I was having a drink with a client there, and they were amazed how quiet it was after moving there from Brisbane. I agree as well - to me, Brisbane was quiet, but Perth is worse.
That being said, it's a pretty nice place - head over to the beach, down to Fremantle, and generally just get out of the CBD area if you ever go.

Is the CBD super bad or something? Getting out of the CBD is good, but usually there is plenty of fun to be had there too.

Not super bad, just boring and overpriced. But the latter can be applied to anywhere in WA, really.

Fair enough.
I'm 5/7 so far. Got the Dragons and Titans wrong. Running 2 comps this year. Newtown Fire Station comp, same as last year; and also national Bartercard comp.

I'm with Donny - Dragons and Titans wrong.
Donny - if you're running 2 comps, do you tip differently in either at all, to hedge your bets?

No, I tip the same. Backing yourself is always good. Plus you'd kick yourself if you got 4/8 in each comp.

I'd kick myself for doing crap in both, lol...
Nah, I was more thinking for borderline calls - if you're not sure which way it'll swing for a particular game, tip one each way.
