Fair enough. I don't like AFL at all, but it is pretty big in Perth. So I just thought I'd ask. Ice hockey is quite a brutal sport, can't say I've ever watched much of it though.

I'm from Sweden originally which kinda explains the ice hockey hehe. Been living in Perth since 2009.
Our Swedish boss picked up one of those
Stiga table ice hockey games
for the office. Helluva lot of fun. It's only taken about two months of training for the office, but he finally suffered his first real loss the other week.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##Squishalot##DELIM##

It's an awesome game. Extremely fast paced, and goals can be conjured out of nothing at times, just like the real thing.

The Panthers suck too, I was more just referring to the fact that this is the bottom-of-the-table clash of the weekend.

Not true, they were a superteam from the late 80s to the mid 90s, much like the Storm have been for the last 7 or 8 years. Their dynasty ended with a grand final loss to the Dogs in 95.

New South Wales squad: Greg Bird, Jamie Buhrer, Todd Carney, Ben Creagh, Robbie Farah, Paul Gallen (capt), Jarryd Hayne, Michael Jennings, Luke Lewis, Trent Merrin, Josh Morris, Mitchell Pearce, Brett Stewart, Glenn Stewart, James Tamou, Tony Williams, Akuila Uate.
Apart from Jarryd Hayne and Michael Jennings it's a good squad.
Hindmarsh should be picked; retiring or not he's the best man for the job, and he fits the bill of lean and fast. Great to see Brett Stewart in there, also fairly happy with the halves combo although personally I would have seen Wallace in over Pearce.
But seriously, why, why, why, WHY does Sticky insist on selecting proven underperformers like Hayne and Jennings? Is it because he is also a proven underpserformer himself?

I agree that Hayne and Jennings should not be there. I still agree with certain people that think Hayne is playing injured. He hasn't been in good form since 2009. I can't see how he was picked on form, and I can't see how he was picked on reputation either, because his reputation is getting worse by the game.
Wallace is out injured, that is why he wasn't picked, plus Pearce has been on fire the last few weeks, but that may just be that he is playing good, in and average team.Oh yeah, forgot about that one... It'll be interesting to see how well Hodkinson fires when he gets back. I honestly think he would have been the difference in the Dogs' narrow losses to Melbourne and Manly. I think he's due back this weekend, if not then it's next.
I think it is make or break year for Farrah, if he doesn't perform this year, he may well never be picked again.
It seems to me like he was only picked as the "lesser of two evils", since Ennis has been fairly quiet this year.
Ricky Stuart should never have been put in the job in the first place. He has been fired from every coaching job he has held, and has not really acheived much anyway. Sure he won a premiership, but really, that was with someone else's team.
Brad Fittler. Luke Ricketson. Craig Fitzgibbon. Craig Wing. Anthony Minichiello. Michael Crocker. How could that team
not
win a premiership?
