I also can't believe he tried to plead not guilty. But I thought 12 weeks was a fair penalty and what everyone expected anyway. As I said before, second offence = life ban.
Aa fan of the team he plays for (and he plays well), I just hope it was an isolated incident. And I hope he is remembered for much more than just this when he is finished playing. That's probably wishful thinking though. For example, the only thing people seem to remember Joey for these days is the pingers. Hell, a lot of people even call him a drug cheat - because ecstasy enhances your performance soooo much! Hope James Graham cleans up his act and retires with much more than just a biter/grub tag.

That depends on your definition of active. Donny left, as Hax pointed out. EnigmaPunch is around every so often, but doesn't really get involved as much these days.

Oh well.
Since this is an australian thread...
If Abbot gets elected as PM im hopping country :D
Don't want to be in a country thats lead by someone who looks like a monkey, and acts like one.
What does squishy think?

Put it this way - I would much rather a Rudd / Turnbull moderate government, than either of the two options we've got. That being said, Rudd Labor looks like it's somewhat more compromising and middle-ground than Gillard Labor or Abbott Liberal, so that's where my sentiments lie at the moment.
I don't doubt that I'd be financially better off in the short term under Abbott (I'm definitely one of the 10% of people who suffered under last year's means testing and didn't get anything back under the carbon tax welfare - problem with being single with no kids!) but I think he's going to sink the country the way he's going.

Heard on the news this morning that Abbott started gaining a foothold in the election.
Worst news of the century.

I've learnt that you should pretty much only rely on ABC and SBS for proper news.

It struck me that I might be overseas when the election is called, and that it gives me the option to extend my trip if I don't like the results.... :P
Abbott's big faux pas today was claiming that the emissions trading scheme is "a so-called market in the non-delivery of an invisible substance to no one."
I get the feeling we'll be hearing that one over and over by the Labor attack ads between now and the election.
This thread, it's like a big welcome home hug...nice work Squish
That's what I'm here for!(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##Squishalot##DELIM##

To be fair, a lot of people look at the Liberals the same way. As for what an Abbott government would look like, I'm not sure if it'd be a Barry O'Farrell style, or a Campbell Newman. Either way, they're both not what I want to see.
