Pat Howard - is the the 'performance manager'? Can't remember what his role in the system is...
I was just saying to a colleague of mine that I don't actually have any faith in any of the batsmen (apart from Clarke) to be able to stand up and make a reasonable score. Ignore the fact that Cowan wasted his starts as an opener, at least he made starts...

There are a truckload of bogans in the business lounge today. People have a lot of money to blow if they're flying interstate to go see the Liverpool / Victory match tonight.

Well I'm guessing Victory have a much higher chance of beating Liverpool than the Allstars had of beating Man U

2-0, pretty respectable scoreline, though I didn't see the game. I'm surprised Man U only scored 5, considering how many opportunities they had.
Trying to work out how to set up FIFA 12 at work to assemble the All Stars team, so we can replicate the match in the office.

My pommy colleague has asked me to give him odds on Clarke's claim that we can still win the series.
I'm not holding much hope, heh. A draw would be nice, and a win would go a huge way to recovering my initial series bet, but if it says anything, I've already started putting down deposits on my expected loss, haha.

I think a better question is who
don't
you leave out. Khawaja has to be given a second chance, in my opinion. Rogers has been pretty unlucky. So that leaves Hughes, Smith and Watson.
Hughes - great innings with Agar in the first test, but mediocre results since. Looks technically deficient compared to the others. Decent score in the Surrey match, but then, against a pop-gun attack.
Smith - not been too bad, useful second spinner, especially at Old Trafford - I'd be inclined to keep him on that basis.
Watson - a couple of starts and probably the most technically correct of the three, but has serious technical flaws in relation to balls moving into his pads. Depends on how well he's rectified it in the last week, but I'd be hoping that there'd be a few net sessions where Starc, Harris and co. tear into him and make him prove his worth.
So on that basis, I'd drop Hughes, realistically, unless Watson still has his technical issues, in which case, open with Rogers and Warner.

Aren't we great armchair selectors!
Bowlers - just go in with the best attack. Harris, Siddle, and flip a coin between Bird and Starc, I'd say. I still don't understand why we went with Agar instead of Lyon, but I'd take one or the other, not both.

What was that review decision.

What was that review decision.
There was only enough space to drive a car through it, not a truck, so it was inconclusive.
