Daefaroth, what are your reasons for taking Beast Mastery? Since Cata there haven't been any pet tanking talents in the BM tree like there were before (extra armour, extra dodge etc). I can also take all take all of the mitigation/healing talents with a non-BM pet (

). The only useful talents that it doesn't pick are Intervene (possibly reducing some damage you take) and Lionhearted (stunned pets can't dodge). Just curious if there are any benefits to BM over MM (higher damage, higher burst, cooldown reset).
The first boss in AQ40 is soloable btw. I've done it (as MM hunter with a beetle and using Aspect of the Wild) by standing out of range of the boss and using Kill Command when possible to speed up the process. After the split phases you can bandage yourself and possibly run in briefly to get a Mend Pet off.
The first boss in Hyjal is also soloable if you stay at max range. You can avoid the frost tombs that way.
I doubt it's possible to do ToC 5 man because of the jousting required for the first boss. Haven't tried Halls of Reflection yet, but heroic Forge of Souls is easy. The first two bosses of heroic Pit of Saron are fairly easy as well. Tyrannus is a pain though. His reflecting shield thing heals him up when you have Mend Pet up. Because you're the only one there, the shield will always be cast on you. He also has a brief enrage during which your pet takes a lot of damage.
