Unless you have two warrior tanks I'm not sure what the problem is. Just put the warrior on the big guy and the other tank on the little guys. Also, no hunters for misdirect? If not, no locks to shadowfury the adds for a bit while the tank peels them off you?
I also don't understand why you need righteous fury to pull the adds in. Both raids I've done Rhyolith in the ranged and healers did their best to stay more or less clumped up in one spot. The sparks should be headed to the same place whether you have RF on or not (since they'll either make a bee line for a healer, or else for a ranged that starting dpsing before the tank could pick them up).

Its all a quirk of the 10 raid dynamics. Chances are just as good they will spawn over by players dealing with Ryolyth as much as they will over by the range. And the dynamics change each group we bring to the fight where one night we didn't have a Hunter and this was our solution to bringing together or forcing freshly spawned Fragments and Sparks to come to one spot.

But even if they spawn near the feet people it shouldn't matter. They're doing it wrong if they're using a lot of AoE (hitting both feet at the same time is obviously kind of a problem), so the healers should pull the tiny adds right off of them as soon as they spawn.

The problem if they spawn over by the melee/feet is that they will never get killed over there. The Fragments will "detonate" if not dealt with in time for as much as damage as HP they have left and often one shot players. Having the team on the feet stop "driving" to deal with the adds is tricky especially if they are near an edge or need to make an immediate turn or miss a volcano. Having the range team rush over to where the boss maybe is risky and slows down DPS.
In general Ryolyth feels like it is tuned a little too tightly on 10. The fact I'm even entertaining this because of some combinations of class-specs is an indicator something is up.

Right but why are they
staying
at the feet? That's the part I don't understand. Healing aggro and ranged unloading-before-the-tank-gets-there aggro should have them sprinting for the rest of the raid.

They stay over there due to stuff like short group buffs like shouts along with the issue that the other healer is over there and can drawn them. Turning on Righteous Fury just gives me a slight edge on threat compared to those effects and pulls them towards the correct group.
Really this is a case of some combos in 10 need this sort of stuff. If we have a Hunter we send them into the middle and misdirect them over when they pop over there but on the nights we don't this seems to be the best solution to make them run the right way.

This is a non-existent issue in 25man, and I've never seen it on 10man with my alt so... I honestly can't fathom what's going on here. All I can suggest is that your tanks aren't doing their jobs properly.

That's what my sneaking suspicion has been. Hell, when I do him on my Enhancement shaman I tend to use MW5 procs to CL the adds rather than do a 60-80% reduced lightning bolt on the boss. They shouldn't be glued to melee because a warrior does a battle shout.

I'm really tired of being the bad guy for DARING to suggest that DPS should be doing more DPS than the tank in randoms.

Eh, people don't get it, unfortunately. At least noone's booting the healer for being under the tank.

I literally had a guy say that his 7k dps was good for his gear level. I almost asked him if he was in ICC 10 man gear.
I'm just trying to gear up my bear lately (so I can tank ZA/ZG and from then gear up my resto set, because seriously,
druids are overpowered
, and it's causing me all kinds of headaches. I'm at the point where I count myself fortunate if one in three DPS can do more DPS than a tank.
I'm not a big fan of Ayn Rand, but I think I hate that special mixture of self-righteousness and incompetence almost as much as she did.

It's not so bad now that I'm doing ZA/ZG. Frankly I find if the DPS can pull about 13k I can usually chain pull fast enough to get one of them their bear mount. Feral tanking is pretty easy.

*sigh*
I can't get any weapons. It's getting old.

So I literally got five items in a Firelands run of one of the other guild groups who were short one person this evening (one from each boss we downed + the friendly cloak). There are literally no Greater Celestial Essences on my server's AH, so I've only enchanted about half of what I picked up. Funnily enough, I sold 10 essences yesterday because I saw the price was so high. Including half of them to the tank of the raid I subbed in for who is now expressing a remarkable lack of sympathy for my position.
I mean Aesop couldn't have written a better moral-packed story than that.

Prices on my server.
M. Crystal 100-120g each
Heavenly Shard: 90-130g each
GCE 75-120g each
Dust 60-100g a stack
Want about yalls servers?
And I plagued currently with Dust and Crystals and have nothing to do with them but bank them.
@Hat atleast you have a good weapon I left with the crap BS crafted one because Blizzard doesn't look like there going to fix it and getting into a raid group on my server is a joke as they fail more now with the nerfs then before.
(Even with me having the gear and dps to run them)

Mine:
M. Crystal = 110g about
Heavenly Shard = 100-130g
GCE = 130-150g (don't ask me why, I don't know)
Dust = I have no idea. Haven't bothered to check.

Maelstrom are about 50g, heavenly shards around 100-150, GCE around the same as shards when they're available at all, dust about 5-7g per (the other day I managed to sell about 50 dust for 100g a stack, anyway).
It's not like the prices are ridiculous, there's just no supply.
GCE = 130-150g (don't ask me why, I don't know)
You get less GCE than M crystal per ZA/ZG, and people need more GCE than they need crystals.

The prices on Heavenly are almost to the points that I thinking about tanking some of the tier 1 dungeons for the bags and the the enchant mats.
Not counting the Eng. Trinkets and other Items that I buy and disenchant and reselling. (Eng trinkets D/E into heavenly and are 333 IL and mostly sell on my server for 50g each along with the LW Cloak)
Edit: Anyone have a good use for the dust? I have over 400+ in my bags and can see no good uses for it other then using it to get some bags made so my alts will all have 22+ bags.
