Ok I'll give you a proper answer then.
It is a day celebrating one or more Catholic Saints. Since I, as an Atheist, think that everything about the Catholic faith is incorrect, i.e.
wrong
, then that, by extension, makes Valentine's Day wrong, from my point of view.

I dunno. I think it's lost it's meaning so much over the years that you'd be safe in celebrating it. I mean, Christmas is still involved enough with Christ that I'd understand you not wanting to.

Valentine's Day is stupid because it's pointless. Also very boring to write about. But on the wikipedia page there is a poem about a mans.. private parts. Should I include that in the essay?
Yes.

As long as you have a reason for hating the Catholic faith, you'll have it, cause I'm all for the right of having opinions. However, I detest ignorant hating. If you don't know anything about something, you have no right to hate it.

Either way, I know where it came from, so I reject it. Nonetheless, if some girl wanted to do stuff with me just because it was Valentines day, I wouldn't necessarily turn her down :P

Actually, this guy's got a point. Christmas started out as/is based on a pagan holiday, so you can celebrate it as that.

Or you can just use it as a reason to get together with family.

Paganism is still a religion, of sorts.

Maybe I shouldn't be helping Donny celebrate Christian holidays un-Christianly, since sometimes it seems like I'm pretty much one of the last bastions of Christianity on the Internet. =P
Oh, yeah, if you're just anti-religion in general, there's really no way around it other than "doing it for the presents", lol.

Also: Christmas Day is a day off work. So I spend it getting drunk on the beach with mates.
Also also: I have no family. So getting together with family is out of the question.
