Java seems to work better (faster) with the latest Java update (7.01).
Edit. Maybe not, actually.

Puncture-Binding Spaulder isn't fully loading in profiler. Only shows up as a ghostly primary color in the shape of the spaulder (adobe flash in firefox).

So the model viewer is crashing both IE 8 and Firefox 7 for me (flat out closes the entire browser). I *think* it's set to Flash, but it crashes the browser so fast that it's difficult to see (and it's impossible to change).
Edit: Flash version 11.0.1.152 (at least that's the Active X version)

Mac OSX 10.6.8; Latest Java6 r29.
Same deal. Starts loading, white screen. It hasn't working since I think java 5 or so. But its not only WH, other sites with java implemented in them do not work either. I think Apple needs to let SUN handle the implementation...

Java will not load anything. Stays permanently on white screen. Attempted in up-to-date versions of Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and IE (32- and 64-bit) on Windows 7 (64-bit). Attempted clearing all caches. No good.

The 3D Java model viewer hasn't been working in Safari 5 since Mac OS X Lion came out. Apple's Lion version of Java introduced a very ugly bug. Hopefully some future update will squash that bug. Meanwhile you can write to Apple and insist they hurry up.

Do you have a source for this claim? Other sites that have java apps work fine for me. (One example would be worldoflogs.com) However, the 3D viewer hasn't worked for me in Lion in ANY browser. In fact, it crashes them all. (Safari, Chrome, and Firefox)
Honestly, I wouldn't mind. I'd LOVE to just be able to use the Flash version (vs. none at all), but there's no way to choose Flash before Java attempts to load, and then the lovely crash happens. Here's to hoping _something_ gets fixed soon, be it from wowhead or Apple.

Wall of text that appears in Java console for most recent build w/Firefox 10.0.2
I am unable to get the Java model viewer working at all. It also crashes Java so I'm assuming it's an error with your site since this has been reported for well over 2 years now.
