Forrest Gump is about a guy sitting on a bench for about 2 hours.
Forrest Gump is about a guy telling his life story, not about a guy sitting on a bench for about 2 hours.
Forrest Gump is also a book-turned-successful-movie.

And this film could be about the same thing for all we know.

So was Fight Club, but thats not what people remember it as.

Re; Man on a Ledge - judging from the trailer, the man and the ledge is hardly all that'll be in the movie. And other than that, Phone Booth... If you've seen that, every movie that involves largely the same place will be very good. Try it.

And the preview I saw showed the SWAT team dropping down to get the guy off the ledge, then it ended as he took a step forward and dropped; I just have this feeling that he won't be dying from that, and will probably end up on another ledge while whatever thing being planned goes on out of our sight....or at least, his sight from the ledge.

I disliked Phone Booth as well.

What about 127 hours, Paranormal Activity, Red Dwarf, Waiting for Godot, that one movie with a birdwatcher and a guy with a gun in a hide?
Strength of performance and believability of plot are a much bigger predictor of whether I'll enjoy a movie or show than variety of sets (not that I liked the above particularly, apart from the last one, despite not remembering what it was called)... My three least favourite movies (Marilyn, Sex and the City 2 and 4.3.2.1) all had plenty of sets and high budgets.

My boyfriend and I watched
Cleaner
the other weekend. We had never heard of it before, which suprised us because of the big names in it. I really kept me on my toes. I figured it out right away, but I still enjoyed the hell outta it.

You know the movie Avatar kinda pisses me off... I mean it was a good movie, even a great movie, but being billed as "The highest grossing movie of all time" kinda sets a poor taste in my mouth considering they left it in theators for like 6 months, then released the DVD, Blu ray, and "extended" DVD/Blu ray on different dates, forcing people to buy it more than once.
I mean yes it was the highest grossing film, but due to some fairly cheap tactics...
EDIT: Oh I forgot they also had a second theatrical release...

You are in no way forced to buy it. At all.
Anyway, I watched Bowling Columbine today. Awesome movie. The thing I really digged about it was that
it was American and actually criticized America for once.
I've never seen an American movie do that so openly before.

If your a big fan you kind of are, personally I just bought the DVD, although had I known they were going to release an extended version I may have saved my money. Which is kind of what they are banking on releasing them on different dates and never announcing the extended version untill well after the DVD had been out and everybody went out and bought it.
Most hardcore fans (if they buy DVDs) would choose the extended version. At the very least most companies announce that there would be a second release so people save their money.

You are still not forced to do it. I'm a big fan of Assass Creed. That doesn't mean I'm forced to buy it, just that I most likely will.

No worse then Titanic or the Lord of the Rings movies; same things happened there.

Your taking the word "forced" too literaly brah. For example they recently released a box set of all 8 Harry Potter movies. However they are planning a delux release with more bonus material, extended scenes, a fancier box, ect. And the company announced this ahead of time so that fans dont buy this one if they want the delux package.
My point is that most production companies will announce ahead of time that they are planning a second release so that people will save their money. Honestly it seems like their main agenda was to make as much money with the movie as possible keeping it in theaters for so long, plus a second release in theaters before they even start filming the second one, and then all the bull*!@# with the DVD release.
EDIT: With LOTR we knew that the extended versions were comming. Idk maybe Im just griping over nothing...

And for LotR, as each new chapter came out, they made more and more extended viewings in theaters; at the end, you could, if you really wanted to, sit in a theater for 9+ hours and watch all three one after another.
