Twisted around a bit? Nobody landed a single punch on him until
The end... where he got shot.
Yeah. I especially liked the part where
he beat the crap out of 10 people for trying to nerf Warriors.
I just watched the sequel last night. It was equally badass - especially liked the end.

I really liked Brave. I know this is pretty common knowledge at this point, but Pixar is just plain awesome. I love that their movies, while directed at children, can still be enjoyed by adults.
The scenery in this movie was just plain awesome too. Really brought the whol mythilogical Scottland to life.

Its a Pixar movie, its geared twords kids. Of course its gonna be overly sweet. I still liked it quite a bit though, I thought the music and scenery were great as well.
Abraham Lincon on the other hand I didnt really like, saw that earlier today.

I thought Abraham Lincoln was moderately good. The Henry character was overacted and came across as petulant. The lady vampire was rather well performed IMO.
I saw Killer Joe yesterday. If asakawa thought Limitless had misogynistic themes, he'll love this film. It's like Kasey Affleck laid down the gauntlet with "The Killer Inside Me" and Matty rose to the challenge.

Well, Brave was overly sweet even by Pixar standards, does not help that main character is a moron.
How was she a moron? Idk if this sounds bad or not, but the stupid decisions she made seemed rather typical of a teenage girl to me lol.
As far as Abraham Lincon goes, it does embrace its own stupidity, but it didnt pull it off as well as some other pseudo stupid movies tend to do.
Im really looking forward to The Campaign, I always think I wont like Zach Galafanakis, but I wind up laughing myself dizzy at his movies.

Recently came across a movie I saw long ago. It's an amazingly nice romantic comedy called
My Sassy Girl
. Yes it's a Korean movie.

About to watch The Grey, grabbed the dvd from a RedBox. Tonight just feels like a Liam Neeson night.

Saw Dark Knight Rises.
The twist was fantastic.
I forgot the Ghul guy had a daughter, not a son.

I didn't like the twist at all. It seemed quite unnecessary, even if it was foreshadowed. Aside from that, and the very, very ending It would have been more emotionally impacting if Bruce had actually died, I think it was fantastic.

Except that it was in the comics?

Something being in the comics doesn't invalidate it as being unnecessary. It just means the comics added another twist just for the sake of it (tbh all comics seem to do that). Bane was engaging enough that the twist wasn't really needed, imo.

So much for the so-called trilogy.
Also, Bane and the Demon's daughterThank you Mr Nolan for completely and utterly making sure I'm never going to see this movie; I hated what he did with the Demon in the first movie.

As I was walking into this movie I couldnt help but compare it to the Avengers, wondering which was going to be crowned the comic book king of summer 2012 (lolspiderman).
The first half of the movie i thought it was good, but ran a bit slow for me. I was thinking it was about the same level as Batman: Begins, good but not on par with the Avengers. Then the second half after Bane took over Gotham it really heated up. The cinimatography was brilliant especially. Then the big twist came, and while I see a few people here complaining, to me it was a mind @#$% that I approved of.
To sum it all up I dont think this was as good as The Dark Knight, but I
did
like it better than The Avengers, and Batman Begins.
I liked the twist a lot actually. Tahlia was never my favorite character in the comics, but I think it was handled very well in the movie. Nobody saw that &*!@ coming, even though it was forshadowed. Makes a lot of sense, I wasnt sure why all those prisoners would be chasing baby "Bane" untill we saw.
Anyway of the four movies I was so looking forward to this year three have come to pass (Hunger Games, The Avengers, and The Dark Knight RIses) and I havnt been dissapointed so far. Hoping the Hobbit will live up to the rest.

People say that the whole comic book movie thing is getting old. Now that the Avengers finally happened and the Nolan Batman trilogy is done, maybe it is on the decline...
Then I notice this, Zack Snyder and Chris Nolan are involved in the same movie... I think we may in fact be entering the golden age of comic book movies.
